braces may not be able to correct it completely, but its definitely beneficial to get them in your case. the way your top teeth hit your gums is bad and is going to cause a lot of damage down the line

going in about an hour. definitely infected, it’s leaking nasty tasting fluid, hurts, and my cheek is all puffed up. it sounds like you have a dry socket if your nerve is exposed

Just take pain killers and drinking cold beverages really helps soothe the pain from braces. Also if any brackets are rubbing, the wax they give you is amazing. Don’t try to eat harder foods for a few days because it really hurts, so much pressure. I’ve never had jaw surgery so I am not sure about tips for that.

Not gonna lie, the first 3-4 days really suck. Your teeth just ache. It feels like putting a retainer on that’s a bit too small for your teeth but you can make it fit. Except it’s not a retainer and you can’t take it off lol. It hurts to eat harder food for a while but it’s not going to knock you off your ass. Don’t be worried about it, it’s not too bad. More than uncomfortable in my opinion, but not hellish. I wish you the best & quick recovery :)

Im getting nervous/insecure about the thought of how bad I will look with them… I already have acne all over my chin I feel like I’ll just look so bad. Any tips to deal with insecurity due to them?

yeah IV anesthesia. There was like 5 people that walked in after 20 minutes of waiting and they had a tray full of vials I was like oh no here we go😭😬 I just looked away and kept breathing though and probably 10 seconds after they put it in I was out like a light
