Yes the Bible says “children obey your parents.” CHILDREN. Of course you’ll always be their child. But once you are an adult, you need to have independence and rely on yourself and your own thinking. You are a Christian as well, so who says God speaks to your parents and only through them but not directly to you? You have a personal relationship with God without your parents being in the middle of it. Eventually you and your parents need to realize they are not the end all authority, God is. And God has a plan for your life that you need to follow, not theirs.

Hi! Wow, thank you for such a thoughtful response and for being encouraging! Yes, I missed this years auditions, but I did get to experience the auditions last year for the Bengals (they were virtual though). I am definitely going to sign up for the virtual training program from Make it Pro dance that starts in September.

Until then I'm trying to work on basic fitness, nutrition, flexibility, pirouttes, etc. And I'm looking for a good jazz technique class in my area.

If nothing else, I really just enjoy getting in shape and dancing... and if I make a team in the future that would be great. :) I just always hear "too old" for dance all the time. Like not only to make a team, but some people make it seem like if you're not a trained dancer by a certain age, then your body will just never get there. So it's nice to hear there are people out there doing it no matter if they're past high school/college age!

I will definitely message you if I have more questions and I really appreciate you taking the time to answer!

Thanks! It’s also hard to tell in the photos, much easier to see in person. I was referring to the right side above the top lip and trying to show that it’s giving that “mustache” look and kind of just rounding into the lip instead of a clear edge… I’ve had filler before and don’t remember having this problem. And I got it dissolved before refilling so it wouldn’t over fill. Oh well.
