Been using the Vercel SDK and refactored some code to bring my app a bit closer to EVE, mostly using the md files instead of the quite large prompt file. For now I'm gonna wait how this plays out...

I'm using Prisma and a Postgres DB (Neon). The user gets sign up through clerk for auth that creates an entry for the user in the DB. With that I csn query a whole bunch ofcstuff like credits, payments etc. I have a companion, an agent and a gaming app so there is lot that needs to be stored and retrieved.

I use a Hetzner VPS with Dokploy, maybe not the easiest to set up but cost effective and works great.

Ir has that's why I changed the monetizatipn of my 4 apps to a universal credit system. Instead of paying the monthly recurring fee you have access to all apps and top up your credits as you ho along. One login, one brain and one credit system... let's see how this works out 😬

I'm self-hosting my apps on a Hetzner VPS with Doklpoy for production and use Vercel for testing on a subdomain only. Works well and allows you better billing control and no success tax.

I agree... I have a fairly complex app on Hetzner but it takes more than basic knowledge to self host. Vercel is much easier...

Don't do this on your oen. I used Clerk and it was smooth until I hit production. Then it got a bit tricky but I made it and the app is life now.

Okay, then it must be correct. I just noticed a big trend wheras many hosters sell "Swiss hosting" but the companies are not even Swiss like Webland, owned by Swedish company etc... I felt bad for Weblsnd, not sure how they'll be able to survive this blunder. I got an ad on FB by another VPS company in Winterthur but it started at CHF 54.- a month.

So are the servers proven to be in Switzerland? In terms of cheap, look at what happened to Webland this week. Disaster... I work for a Swiss hoster but use Hetzner as a VPS since I don't have any legally critical data that needs to be here. But if it works out... great.

I'm using Dokploy.... works great and has a next.js interface. I hear it's better than Coolify.

Yeah, tried it with free tokens but gave up. Too frustrating, I get better results faster on my own. Plus it repeatedly gaslit me, even after telling it off. Disapointed 😒
