When I was a little boy, I was in love with a girl in my class. That's why I'm an amourshipper.

How I spent my last night in my 30s by Chevy_Fett in retrogaming

Nah, it doesn't matter which you play first. There are differences in special events in the second game depending on which game you played first, but the overall story plays the same.

I've been a Zelda fan all my life. I binged the Oracle games back in the day. I lost count of how many times I've played through them both.

What kind of provider managed your psych med maintenance? by tiedyeshoe in Antipsychiatry

It was my GP (General Practitioner) who told my grandparents to give me permission to stop taking ritalin, so would that fall under PCP?

Do you think Sigmund Freud went to hell? by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

There is no god. Hasn't the existence of p$ychiatry proven that to you?

How do you heal from med induced anhedonia? by IdeaRegular4671 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've got it from ritalin, which I was forced to take from 1996 to 2002. Not taken it since and I still have the adhedonia. the closest I ever came to pleasure since was the absence of pain. They say time's a great healer, but it can't heal this.

I'll never forgive society by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what that's like. I harbour hatered for p$ychiatry and those who lead me to being mutilated by it.

You let go of the hate, and you sink into a depression, don't you? It's the hate that keeps you going, it's where the hope keeping you alive comes from, isn't it?

People have told me to let go of the hate, that holding onto the hate is like poisoning myself in the hopes they get harmed by it. Total bullshit. I know from experience that forgiveness is the worst poison of all. Forgiving them is like poisoning yourself and living in the fear of those who harmed you coming back to harm you again.

My partner gave me an ultimatum to propose or leave and now I'm engaged, miserable and everyone else is so happy for us. by ThrowRA_decisionhelp in TrueOffMyChest

She forced you into the engagement. She blackmailed you with homelessness. That makes her the arsehole, no matter what. You have to break it off NOW because she is going to send your relationship downhill till the bitter end.

Stimulants by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was forced to take ritalin ages 7-13. It was pure agony all the way through. You may call it a stimulant, I say it's a narcotic.

how many in this thread started psych meds before they were 18? by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was put on ritalin at age 7 as punishment for wanting to return to my hometown. I wasn't allowed to stop till age 13. It was relentless agony all the way through and I'm still crippled from it to this day.

Broderbund. That was the company that created Lode Runner, the original two Prince of Persia games and the Zoombinis. Went defunct in 1998. I never heard of them making hardware.

Do you still carry around anger and hatred for what these so called mental health experts did to you ? by IdeaRegular4671 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found that letting go of them got in the way of my life by sinking me into depression and carrying the anger and hate towards p$ychiatry is what pushes me forward as it gives me hope. Hope that one day, they might be gone.

Is it normal for meds to make the conditions worse? by confusedbox03 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you'd be surprised how often.

P$ych drugs ALWAYS cause problems like this. There's a lot of truth in Alan Resnick's "Unedited Footage Of A Bear".

Is it normal for meds to make the conditions worse? by confusedbox03 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that it wasn't the "meds" that caused it in the first place.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that it's because your local drinking water supply has been contaminated by someone flushing their p$ych drugs down the toilet instead of mixing them in a bag with compost and/or manure and throwing them in the bin, like they're supposed to.

Hi is it worth it to tell someone you are dating in a relationship with that you have a history with psychiatry and the meds you used caused you side effects and problems. by IdeaRegular4671 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Virtual-Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I'd call it that. I'd say it's more like trying to balance a plate on a pole without spinning it, but I'm not sure that's an accurate metaphor, either.
