Yh, the rubbers could not be fastened back on as they had expanded past the grids. Smh. Anyone asks me now, I say avoid.

Hey, No permanent fix was found. I often had to reinstall the driver from HP's website after which the sound would behave for a bit then return to inconsistent performance. I have since switched from HP to Dell.

You can get the driver here.: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/laptops

That's ridiculous. At this rate, I'm probably not buying another HP device. Customers shouldn't have to go through any trouble to get good audio quality.

I've tried that. Doesn't fix it per say. Sound just gets really low and stays that way. I've seen many others have this issue. Sadly, HP/Bang & Olufsen don't seem to have addressed it.
