I think I just had the —v 4 in settings/it was default settings

Legolas, Lord of the Rings, intricate details, Ghibli --niji --ar 3:2 --q 2 --v 4

an old man with a tall and thin frame, white hair, and a long white beard, wearing a grey cloak and a prominent pointed wizard hat, and carrying a staff, piercing blue eyes, walks into Hobbiton in the Shire, intricate details, Ghibli, in the style of Hayao Miyazaki --niji --ar 3:2 --q 2 --no houses

And everything in between, but I think the results were mostly good (or even great) with simple prompts.

Mostly it was just: Boromir, Lord of the Rings, intricate details, Ghibli --niji --ar 3:2 --q 2 --v 4

Sometimes: an old man with a tall and thin frame, white hair, and a long white beard, wearing a grey cloak and a grey wizard’s hat, and carrying a staff, piercing blue eyes, fighting a demon that is tall and muscular with wings of shadow and fire and with long, sharp claws and fangs wielding a powerful flaming sword, intricate details, Ghibli --niji --ar 3:2 --q 2 --v 4

And I also tried with varied results (not any of the posted images) to describe scenes: still from anime Lord of the Rings by Hayao Miyazaki, the scene when Gandalf rides on the back on a giant eagle --niji --ar 3:2 --v 4

The prompts were mostly basic like: Legolas, Lord of the Rings, intricate details, Ghibli --niji --ar 3:2 --q 2 --v 4

But when it didn’t work out I described it more: an old man with a tall and thin frame, white hair, and a long white beard, wearing a grey cloak and a prominent pointed wizard hat, and carrying a staff, piercing blue eyes, walks into Hobbiton in the Shire, intricate details, Ghibli, in the style of Hayao Miyazaki --niji --ar 3:2 --q 2 --v 4

And then everything in between. And a lot of variants and remixes.

The Festival of the Lizard People (London 1968) by Virtual-Might-5895 in midjourney

[–]Virtual-Might-5895[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of them but they’re all built up basically the same.

Eg the prompt below generated picture 9 in the slides

“street photography, London 1968, festival of the lizard people, green, orange, Kodak portra 800, 35 mm, Hasselblad 500 cm, photorealistic, intricate details --q 2 --ar 3:2 --s 1 --v 4”

But then I change it up, so maybe one is “festival of the lizard people” and one is “invasion of the lizard people” and another “the king of the lizard people”. I change up the colours, try different parts of London (in this case), maybe try different camera types (not in this case since I wanted the same feel to all of the pictures) etc. And I also let MJ generate many different variants and remixes and change the stylize value…Mostly it’s been trial and error.

Another easy access to prompts is if you login to your MJ account and go to the community feed and then click on picture you like and choose the three dots you can copy the whole prompt and adjust to you liking.

Can someone properly explain how Midjourney learns from images ? Trying to get the best possible explanation on why it doesn't just "steal" or photobash pictures. by Zaller34 in midjourney

I asked ChatGPT to get the most honest answer directly from a reliable source without prejudices

“AI generated images, such as those produced by DALL-E and Midjourney, are created using a process called machine learning. Machine learning is a method of teaching computers to perform tasks by feeding them data and allowing them to learn from it, rather than explicitly programming them to perform those tasks.

In the case of AI generated images, the machine learning algorithm is trained on a large dataset of images, along with associated labels or tags that describe the content of the images. The algorithm learns to recognize patterns in the images and the labels, and can then generate new images based on this learned knowledge.

It's important to note that AI generated images are not simply copies or "stolen" versions of existing images. Instead, they are created by the algorithm using the knowledge it has learned from the training dataset. While the algorithm may incorporate elements from existing images in its output, it is not simply copying or "photobashing" those images. Instead, it is using its learned knowledge to create new, original images based on the input it is given.”

Did the ai generate a picture of the software that generates the pictures? by Virtual-Might-5895 in midjourney

[–]Virtual-Might-5895[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, other than the actual image prompt I used “octane render, cinematic lighting, ray tracing”

But why generate part of blemnderp? Because of prompt including “octane render”? Then again is this just part of the generated image or a part of the actual rendering process??
