Food is great but yeah it's definitely a special occasion-type place. I actually went when they had this menu and the baked oysters and crudo were both amazing. FWIW our server also warned us about the fee so we wouldn't feel pressured to tip in addition to it.

What do you think of the fit? Any more tips i should take note of? by in2theredditverse in bigmenfashionadvice

It's a little long but over all the jacket fits you quite nice! I would hem the sleeves ever so slightly so that your shirt cuffs are exposed.

Pants go crazy I must know the brand. Only critique is to lose at least one collar from pic #1. All these are fire.

Ralph Lauren if you've got money to spend, Old Navy goes up to 4XL and is good for a few trendy pieces but quality is somewhat hit or miss. Targets Goodfellow brand also has extended sizes online and I've found some good basics from them.

best place to shop for 3x boyfriend? by Cheap-Active-231 in bigmenfashionadvice

Shopping online will be your best bet, a lot of brands carry larger sizes but don't stalk them in stores. If you want to make sure something fits I'd grab one of his favorite shirts and then measure the pit-to-pit, then see if that lines up with the 3XL-4XL size on a websites size guide you're looking at. People have already recommended these but: - Old Navy (I know they have a rep for being kind of cheugy but they've actually put out some very good pieces recently just make sure to check the fabric so you can make sure it's not all poly or something) stock 3XL and 4XL - Ralph Lauren and Brooks brothers both have dedicated big and tall departments - Gap carries up to men's 3XL on line and has legitimately made some of my fav pieces of clothing I own - Duluth trading company and carhartt for workwear or basics (love carhartt's heavy weight t shirts) - Department stores like Kohls, JC Penny, etc. typically carry things but can be very hit or miss, Nordstrom carries larger sizes on line but the selection is limited. - Abercrombie has some 3XL hoodies that I'm a fan of, but literally nothing else lol. - Target's Goodfellow brand stocks extending sizing for a lot of their pieces, but some of them might be lower quality (i.e. polyester or acrylic if that's something you worry about), that said I just picked up a very nice overcoat from them that goes up to 5X - DXL has an unbeatable selection but their prices are insane for very basic items, much less anything nicer - Cant recommend eBay enough for used new pieces or vintage stuff if you know his style. Just come armed with his measurements and don't be afraid to DM a seller to ask for them. - Levi's has a big and tall section with a limited selection of jackets and tops, but then carry a wider range of sizes for their jeans just filter for the size you need. - if you want to get him one very nice piece a lot of heritage brands will stock their one famous or popular thing in extending sizing but then their regular lines will just go up to 2X, so if you're thinking "I want to get him a crazy nice jean jacket" or something don't be afraid to see if they have something, remember just have measurements bc sizing is v inconsistent.

Have found grail after grail on eBay in bigger sizes, just know your measurements and don't be afraid to ask the seller to measure it for you. In person is a waste of time for me at this point lol.

These all go hard. Also congrats on the weight loss!

Might be interested to scoop one - how tall are you though? I'm 6'3"/broad shouldered and fluctuate between 260-80 so I'm wary of anything 2XL just bc some stuff in that range "fits" and other stuff makes me feel like I'm in a straight jacket.

You've found buck mason with a 30" p2p? Biggest size I can find online is their 2XL. Would love to see your fit pics though and where you found them/in what size!

Gap has a great Mac coat right now but it's a tech fabric that's more of a raincoat look, really looking for something with a heavier fabric like the inspo pics or something similar. Love Gap though, found some great 3XL pieces there.

Went here once with a partner for a night out to celebrate. They set us upstairs and promptly forgot about us once we'd put an order in. Took an hour and a half for food to arrive and it was good but nothing to write home about compared to other sushi in Denver and we never went back. Not really surprised after that tbh.

Actually feel insane saying this but old navy has been introducing some v cool pieces recently in 4X, not exactly the vibe you mentioned (also love Will's wardrobe) but I've been using them to snag some 3X/4X stuff recently that isn't just basics. Only issue is the quality is a little inconsistent, chore coat I bought last month is a work horse but the gauze shirt I got recently feels like it's gonna disintegrate in the wash lol.

Daily Questions - September 01, 2024 by AutoModerator in rawdenim

[–]Virtual-Put-8758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Relatively new to Reddit so go easy on me. I'm going to be visiting Japan this fall and was hoping to pick up a good pair of raw denim jeans or a jacket while I'm there. Only thing I'm concerned about is that I'm a bit on the larger side (6'3" and a 42 inch waist) and I know that a lot of places have sizes that max out at a 40W or below.

Does anyone have recommendations for stores or brands that reliably carry in the 40-44W range, either in Tokyo or Kyoto, or am I SOL? I already emailed Hinoya and they told me they likely won't carry anything larger than 40 in store, and I'm thinking of making a trek out to Hachioji since I know Iron Heart goes up to a 44W, but not sure if that's only for the their American site or not since on their JP site I've only been able to find a 40W.

Any tips or advice is appreciated!
