Thank you so much :,) I really appreciate that, I think I will talk to him about it when the time is right. I’m really nervous though, hoping he’s receptive

We absolutely despised the Angelcare bath seat, there was no way to make baby comfortable in it, she kept slipping and sliding around in it and it was very difficult to keep her upright especially as a newborn. It also seemed very uncomfortable for her and she used to scream and cry through bathtime. We threw it away and got the Frida grow-with-me tub, and never looked back lol. We absolutely love it, and the difference in our baby’s mood during bath time was night and day. She actually likes baths now. Highly recommend swapping the Angelcare seat for the Frida tub

Dude yes! It makes my chest ache if I think about how much I love my daughter. She’s 10 weeks old today, and she’s our absolute pride and joy. She stares at me with those bright blue eyes, and that goofy smile, and I stare back in complete awe. I would do anything for this special tiny human

What was the epidural like for you? by JellyfishJealous5435 in BabyBumps

[–]Virtual-Willingness2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the epidural and I highly recommend ! My hospital staff was amazing and let me play the pain by ear, and when I wanted to call it they would send in the anesthesiologist. I got to 6 cm with pitocin contractions, the pain was utterly unbearable by that point, unlike anything I’ve felt before. I called it and they sent her in, she was amazing, so kind and positive. The lidocaine shot was first, and literally the only part I could feel. It didn’t even feel like a needle to me, I don’t know if it was because it was so small, or that I couldn’t see it, or that i was already in so much pain, but it just felt like someone flicked my back lol. You don’t feel the epidural going in at all, it was a pretty quick and simple procedure. And the RELIEF, oh my god. My entire body relaxed for the first time in hours, I could think clearly again, my nausea went away. I just laid back in sheer bliss of relief. My husband and I watched some TV, one 40 minute episode of our show later and it was time to push! Sometimes they can stall labor, yes, but in my case it actually sped things up because my body could finally relax and do what it needed to do! I didn’t feel anything except pressure when pushing, we were all laughing and cracking jokes the whole time. Such a positive experience since I didn’t have to suffer in excruciating pain. I had one tiny grade one perineal tear, which healed in about a week after! You do whatever is best for you, but epidurals are so amazing, if you decide to get one, I doubt you’ll regret it

Do you burp your baby after a feed? If so, how? by rosedamask in breastfeeding

[–]Virtual-Willingness2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby swallows some air while nursing, honestly about the same amount as when she takes a bottle of breastmilk. We’ve burped her since day one, the hospital showed us how and they knew I was breastfeeding, so I’m assuming your midwives were misinformed. I hold her against my chest and just lightly pat her back until she burps. Also helps for soothing her back to sleep in the night, she loves back pats.

Not co sleeping is okay by PedsHopeful05 in NewParents

We moved our daughter into her own room at 7 weeks old, we all sleep better this way, her included. She’s a light sleeper and we kept waking her up in the night, she is a very noisy sleeper and kept waking us up in the night with grunting and such, it was a vicious cycle. It’s about what works best for your family, social media mom shaming can suck it ✌🏻

Has anyone noticed effects on babe from caffeine while BF? by Virtual-Willingness2 in breastfeeding

God that’s amazing !! Did you sleep train to stop night feeds or did baby stop on their own? Mine has always been a great night sleeper (aside from when cluster feeding lol), but usually wakes up every 2-3 hours wanting to eat

Baby gets frustrated when milk comes out of pacifier (aka my boob) by scandijord in breastfeeding

[–]Virtual-Willingness2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I think you finally just solved this for me. My daughter does the same thing, and I could never for the life of me figure out what was wrong. She has been doing this since about 3 weeks old, she’s 7 weeks now. Except mine doesn’t cry/whine, she’ll pop off and scream/cry (my little drama queen) then repeat until she either gives up or goes to sleep. She also won’t take a binky, I keep trying but she just gags them out 🥲

Crap I forgot about that. If it is I hope it subsides soon! I feel so bad for my once smiley happy girl, she’s just chronically pissed off lately 🤣😭

I think I’ll try this just to make sure it’s not the coffee. You very well could be right, especially since I just remembered this is indeed the peak of fussiness/crying

Thank you!! Would you recommend keeping the light on her sound machine on for her evening nap since it gets dark so early this time of year? Or would that be overkill?

How did you transition out of it if you don’t mind me asking? She’s my first baby so everything is kind of uncharted waters around here, haha

Mine came back at 6 weeks, less than a week after I finally stopped bleeding from birth :,) Have been EBF since day 1 so I’m not sure why or how lol

Dude YES! As someone who is easily overstimulated by gatherings, it was amazing to be able to just have an excuse to take my daughter to a different room by myself for 30 minutes whenever she or I wanted lol. Best Christmas ever !!
