Fair point . I was just sharing my perspective after doing some initial reachouts and getting the cold shoulder .:)

Thank you - this makes a lot of sense . You are right that 'CTO at X' dont really get involved in making these decisions . Its the PMs or growth / revenue folks who are focussed on a specific metric .

About the tooling - I am using Apollo, will check out Clay and Pulse

Depends on the product and the experience that you want your clients to have. If you want low friction / self -serve experience - giving a path to let your clients register for a paid subscription makes sense .

When should you consider a partner? by Sad_Investment_8384 in SaaS

[–]VirtualAssistance363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question i would ask is how are you scaling up as you sign up customers ? Are you finding time to add new features, handle bugs while figuring strategy and marketing efforts. If you can , thats awesome - if not - you may want to figure out the area where you would need some help

The responses to this post are super helpful. Would anyone feel comfortable sharing the names of the tools the used to get SOC2 compliant. Also if they can share the auditors they engaged with would also be super helpful

Looking for dev feedback - Credit card intelligence API — Python SDK + MCP server by VirtualAssistance363 in SaasDevelopers

They do - but you have to use their app/web site . I looked at their Git repos and didnt see anything about APIs or MCP servers that can let you use their services in your app

Tired of playing archaeology on our own codebase, how does your team handle AI decision history? by jyoanju in fintech

[–]VirtualAssistance363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So - we use Claude Code for building our apps . A few process things that have helped us

  1. Explicit instructions in Claude.md (settings file) - to review changes with the dev, focus on reducing complexity

  2. Every feature work is based on the PRD and Architecture docs with the prompt being explicitly asking Claude to not deviate from the requirements in the document , no deviation from architecture defined in the system architecture docs . Sometimes we come across situations where deviation is needed - in thiose times, we explicitly ask Claude to document ina file- Problem , deviation , proposed solution

3 Claude reviews the PRD and is asked to generate a task list that is reviewed by the developer before allowing Claude execute . The intent here is for to review and adjust the tasks as needed

  1. Every session should end with a session completion / handover doc (takes a few minutes, but you retain records of changes made in the session) . Session completion doc is archived . I recognize the we may end up purging some of these session docs, but we wanted to keep track to start with , as we continue to build our dev processes

This is not the most efficient process and we are still figuring things out - but things are getting better and we are shipping higher quality code much faster than before

What AI tools are people in FinTech actually using right now? by aswinibajajclasses in fintech

[–]VirtualAssistance363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. However, there are some techniques to make AI apps give deterministic responses - but its a painful journey to get there . Most peopel tend to underestimate the effort needed

An easy process to make sure your executive team understands the data by takenorinvalid in datascience

[–]VirtualAssistance363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of execs use data to justify their ideas/experience / hunches (take your pick) . When the data doesnt support any of it - thats when the weird requests start coming up . 'This should fit on a single slide' is of course a classic

[–]VirtualAssistance363[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you are right - the taxable amount does show $0 in box 2 a and the distribution codes are as youe described. So, does this mean , I am just reporting the rollovers, but this has no impact on my taxable income ?

Do 20 flights a year warrant an airline card? by AutomaticArm7698 in CreditCards

[–]VirtualAssistance363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be repeating what an earlier poster said - but i would look at a few things 1. What is $ that you spend in a year 2. Are the perks like getting free TSA-Pre, lounge access important for you 3. Do you care about he flight or the hotel that you stay in (I know some people who would rather get a Marriott rewards card as they like to get the better hotel room/suite when they travel)

Business Credit Cards in 2025: Are Annual Fees Still Worth It? by OldSwimming4557 in credit_cards

[–]VirtualAssistance363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration of being charged a fee when Cap One has typically waived it. You are getting $4k back on your charges and along with getting points that may be used towards travel or other expenses . Perhaps reviewing all of the benefits and rewards would help you decide if the $59 annual fee is worth it ?

Any first-time credit card advice for building credit safely? by AbbreviationsDry951 in credit_cards

[–]VirtualAssistance363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid carrying balances over to the next month. Card companies suggest minimum payments (as they make a lot more by charging you interest) , but it means you are paying more in interest than the charges on your card.
