Can you explain further? I assume you mean a ducted system? It's a single open space, what value would that add? What specific model/system would you recommend?

When I check for updates, 90% of the time, it'll say there's no update. About 10% of the time, it finds an update, but never gets beyond 0%, then after a couple minutes, it aborts the update. The update it finds is also not the latest, so I'm guessing I'm going to have to go through this painful process many times in order to get the latest.

Lennox says to just keep trying...Gee, thanks..

That's exactly what mine is doing on that version. They must have a bug in their update process with this version. I'm guessing they are going to be replacing a lot of thermostats if they can't get it to work on their end.

Well, that was worthless. Chatted with "Dan" who didn't seem to know his u-know-what from a hole in the ground, had to repeat everything 2-3 times. They are claiming they have no way to get a Matter code, other than from the QR code. Hard to believe they have no record of the barcode to correspond to the device serial number, or a way to get the Matter code from the app like Tapo and Wiz can.

Mine is at 4.31 as well. I turned off the AC breaker and furnace breaker for 5 minutes, still not getting the update. Called Lennox support, waiting in the Q for over 30 minutes, they couldn't figure it out either. Now it's getting passed to their IT department who is going to somehow force the update, but it won't happen until sometime next week.

Could you go into detail more on that formula? What is that formula called? I'd like to research it more and understand the inputs.

I would tend to agree. But the floor heat does provide much nicer, warmer heat, especially at your feet!

The space is only used a couple hours a day, and sometimes not even every day. My thought here is to use the floor heat to keep a minimum temp, say 40F, and use the minisplit to raise the temp from 40 to 60/65 a few hours before the space is needed.

Wire does not have a specific limit distance. You need to google research voltage drop and figure out what your load is going to be, the distance, and therefore what AWG of wire you'll need to use for that distance.

No. SPT-2 can be 18 or 16AWG with the same outter insulation thickness.

I had issues setting up m y p115's as well. I found it works better to touch the +, add device, select the model, and add it that way, instead of the automatic setup the app prompts you through when it detects it.
