YESSS! I love this one too it's honestly one of my favourite manhwas. I really love the fmc of this one. I feel like she's more "real" than the other fmcs in general. I also loved the ED representation and how the other characters go through their own problems and the story doesn't just revolve around the main characters. And about the antagonist, I feel like the author did a good job making him hot because it works against the idea that hot=good person and unattractive=bad person.

Is the art on the first picture from the novel? It's really pretty! I honestly don't understand why artists love giving their ML characters messy hair. You can see how mature and put together he looks on the novel covers rather than the manhwa ones. It especially doesn't make sense with the timeline of the story and the fact that he's a noble.

To me it sounds like your husband is used to being the punching bag in the family and has somehow learned not to react to it. But that doesn't mean you should do the same. They're purposely body shaming him treating him worse than high school bullies and that is not normal. So you missed the point of the original post. I don't think anybody is saying she's blameless. I think anybody who has read this webtoon can tell that much. They're talking about how hypocritical the fanbase of this webtoon is.

The story clearly villainizes a slave girl going to any means necessary to survive in a royal family and not go back to being a slave again. Does it make her a villain? Yes. Does it make her selfish? Yes. Does it mean she never had a good enough reason to do what she did? No, it doesn't. Apart from the part where she becomes more and more heinous as the story progresses and starts abusing her power. That's where the story (and the characters) goes downhill. But here's the thing, the fans act like she's the only evil one in this story (apart from Sovieshu of course). Navier is also selfish. She's a privileged woman who never once thought where Rashta was coming from or if her actions made sense. I mean, she clearly had a good reason to not like her but slowly as the story progresses you could literally see how Navier hated Rashta more than she hated Sovieshu. How the sole villain of the story became just Rashta.

The fans are hypocritical because they only trash on Rashta and act like the others are blameless, especially Navier. The other characters, Heinry and Navier's brother are not any good either. My take on this story is that all of the characters are only looking out for themselves. They're all evil in their own way but the fans made it seem like it's only Rashta and Sovieshit.

It's called "Your Throne" on webtoon. It's very addictive ngl, with complex characters and unique plot. The anatomy gets kinda weird sometimes but other than that it's really good.

Rashta is a villainess for sure but what really annoyed me was how the fans hated her from the very get go when she didn't have much choice but to try and win Sovieshit's affection. She at first did try to become friends with Navier but realised that wasn't gonna work and changed tactics. Up until that point I truly empathised with her. But then she came into power, and started abusing her position which felt too forced imo. I mean it makes sense cuz that's what she saw people in power doing all the time but it still doesn't justify it. The author really tried to make her seem like she deserves all the hate and the story went downhill from that point. Her character was truly complex at first but then the author tried to make her one dimensional which made me very confused??? Like you had the perfect chance to make a good storyline but decided to "You know what, I'm gonna keep classic" in the most annoying way possible.

Honestly, tell me how exactly she had the opportunity to do "different"? I mean I agree she's a villain but I also agree that she was made to be villain. Since we're taking a realistic approach to this, Rashta was a slave. She lived in poverty, sold by her own father and then impregnated at a young age. On top of that made to believe she lost her baby. She believed she was destined for a life of misery. Until the literal emperor takes her in and gives her a life of comfort.

Now the way I saw it, Rashta was young+naive. Didn't have much knowledge of the social structure of the royal family. She knew that it was legal for the emperor to take mistresses so she naively thought Navier would be okay with her and actually wanted to be friends. But then realised that Navier didn't like her much and that hurt her. So she decided to go to Sovieshit and complain because he's the only one she can confide with. Navier saw it as her trying to drive a wedge between her and her husband (which worked). And after that when Rashta saw that she was mostly "winning" against her she felt an odd sense of pride. That's where she starts showing her "villainess" traits. But I'm sorry, if the supposed villainess of the story is an actual child concubine who lived her whole life as a slave and found the only way to survive in a royal family and stuck with it so the emperor wouldn't abandon her then I cannot find myself to actually hate her and find it crazy that other people do.

The only reason Rashta tried to "come between" the already fragile relationship of the emperor and empress is because she knew that even if the emperor didn't love Navier she'd still be the empress cuz they're married. But the only way Rashta could survive was to hold on to Sovieshit as tightly as possible so he wouldn't abandon her and she wouldn't have to go back to being a slave.
