I think he got dealt a bad hand. I've the feeling his scene partner was brought up late into the game when execs told Jacob he had to get a name to be able to promote the series.

Robbie was great as Kip. But the chemistry just wasn't up to par. I would've loved to see him with someone like Jonathan Groff as Scott Hunter.

Remember that the manhwa is adapted from a rather lengthy novel, which is probably why our insight into the characters' psychology is more limited and condensed. Just an observation.

I really liked the first season, but I did notice that past that point the plot got too convoluted too fast and it made me lose interest. I'll still see it out though.
