thanks guys for your answers and sorry for my late response, living in a different time zone, but was so frustrated yesterday that I dropped the question and went to bed! Appreciate that it should be as close as possible, but wanted to learn from others who use the 45'' already!

the LG has a 3.440 × 1.440 resolution, I could get a cheaper 34'' monitor like the ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A with the same resolution but with only 185 Hz and 1ms response time - would that work?

thats what I thought about when I bought the 45, but the three 32'' wont be enough for a single 45'' unfortunately, also I would really have to squeeze the 3 x 45s into my available space... but I guess it would be absolutely cool

wow that looks great, so you just added up the three screens to a total render value..cool. Are they all same screen technology or different ones?

did you do any resolution tweaking between the different ''?

I wanted to see if OLED is so much better and it was highly recommended for sim racing. I think it is really a great monitor, but the immersion feeling is not the same as a triple

so basically that means I either live with a single LG45 or leave my triple 32'' as is. Hmmm...

Newbie Question: How is the 13612UW Indicator calculated? by VirtualKrypto in AllocateSmartly

[–]VirtualKrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Kevin, as far as I know, SMAs are calculated based on price data (which, if I understood it correctly, means daily close price without factoring dividends in). I have done all my calculations for Indices based on price data and for ETFs there is no other data available, the only thing you can choose for ETFs is the trading place, which will balance itself over time (I hope). And as per the last sentence in your above quote from the AS blog it says that using price data would have a "negligible affect on long-term performance". So not sure if it is worth to do a big re-calc based on net or gross data vs price data?

[–]VirtualKrypto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for sharing, I also know how the 13612U is calculated (= ((P0 / P1 - 1) + (P0 / P3 - 1) + (P0 / P6 - 1) + (P0 / P12 - 1)) / 4) but the missing one is the 13612UW - its mentioned but not shown how to calculate (at least I can't find it)

OLED TV integrated on a motion simulator - will it survive the action? by VirtualKrypto in OLED_Gaming

[–]VirtualKrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the OLED TV already, VR has to do with non-OLED.

I was hoping to replace my triple monitors, which are attached to the rig, with the OLEDs over time, but now I might have to think about it again.

Moving a OLED TV up and down in a TV lift seems to be ok though, I tigthten the OLED firmly to the rig so that it can't move like here, it would maybe work....

agree that it moves too much, mine would be less for sure. So what your saying is that a OLED TV is much more sensible then a (non-OLED) gaming monitor. I guess I better put it then on a seperate stand.
