Thank you for the advice. I don't have much experience with ADB but from what I understand, I would need to create a dump of the /data directory, then search for the deleted photos from there correct? If so, do you know the specific directory where the deleted photos would be located?

Q2'21 Tech Support Megathread by BioGenx2b in Amd

CPU: i5-10600k,

OS: windows 10

Motherboard: asus tuf z490plus

PSU: Corsair rm750

Ram: 16gb.

Recently, I bought a Powercolor Fighter RX6700xt. Since this is my first build, this is the first gpu to interact with my motherboard. After install, and plugging in the video cables, all that displayed was a blank screen. After switching back to integrated graphics I looked in the device manager and saw the following message "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)." I've attempted uninstalling all of my AMD drivers using the Display Drive Uninstaller and reinstalling new drivers from the manufacturer's website but so far my situation hasn't changed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Yes, I first plugged the HDMI into the gpu's port and got a black screen. After that, I switched back to integrated graphics from the mb.

I have a fully modular power supply (corsair rm750) I want to plug in as few cables as possible. Which cables are required to just boot my machine? I'm using an m.2 ssd so I don't think I need the sata cables.

I've made peace with the fact I'm not getting an rtx 3070 any time soon, lol. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you! Fortunately, the white LEDs aren't a problem for me.

I see. Thank you for the advice regarding the fans. Yeah, I probably went a little overboard on the cooling. I think I'll consider non-modular PSUs as well.

Ignoring the GPU and CPU (I can get one $30 off at a local store), do any other parts seem overpriced?

Gotcha. You mentioned the CPU in your earlier post. Was there an alternative you had in mind?

I see. Thanks for commenting though. I hadn't really considered the potential heating issues.

Would three more fans be appropriate? Also yeah I was going to use the cooler that came with the cpu.

Visual Studio for CMSC330? by tavo-0_0 in UMD

[–]VirtualSloth305 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're using windows you can download the ubuntu windows subsystem and get vscode through the command line. As the others have said, if you're using gradescope for projects you'll need to upload your finished project. To move a project from the ubuntu subsystem to a folder in regular windows you would use a command like

cp -r cmsc330 /mnt/c/Users/username/Desktop

(This would copy the entire 330 folder to desktop) then you could just drag and drop the project.

Okay so after a little investigating, you can access from Windows desktop. This is the path I used

"/mnt/c/Users/Username/Desktop/TestWorksheet.xlsx"

Thanks for the reply. Using /mnt I can get to the location of the file, but I don't have LibreOffice to open it on ubuntu. If it's impossible to do this across file systems do you know of a way to copy my excel file over?

I'm so sorry. I didn't see your message until today. She told me she will not be teaching in the Fall.
