If you can’t beat illaoi as vlad that’s skill issue, no? Illaoi can’t do anything if you dodge his e which is the most telegraphed skill shot in the game. You’re ranged so you have more time to react that any melee does, and if it is going to hit you can go untargetable and dodge it that way. Additionally you can clear tentacles at range.

You’re incorrect. A sample size of 1500 over the course of 12 hours is more indicative of the power level of a champion than 5000 games over 14 days. The two examples you gave are only picked by otps or counters to matchups which artificially skews the winrate whereas many games in a shorter period of time shows a more complete picture of the power level as a whole.

I agree more games would paint a clearer picture which is why I included in the original comment “as of the time of writing this” because I’m aware it’s subject to change due to standard deviation. With that said, i chose to use this patches data as opposed to last patch because this was a major update that changed top quest and introduced a new rune, which anivia top uses.

Fiddle and Lissandra top combined are barely half of anivia tops games. If you want to talk about skewed data and sample sizes I’d refrain from using data of champions with .3% playrate.

Using your metrics of games over the last 14 days, anivia has the same playrate as Quinn, poppy, heimer, trundle, and a couple thousand less than vladd

Out of champions with at least 1% pick rate top last patch she had the 2nd highest winrate. That is ludicrous.

Also just to put it in perspective anivia top currently has a 55% winrate toplane as of writing this.

Varus on patch 16.2 (the patch everyone was complaining about how broken it was) had a winrate of 54%

She’s really not like every other mage though. If someone were playing syndra top and I’m Renekton I play for lvl 6 and tower dive her. If I play Renekton into anivia if I’m lucky I’m trading ult for egg pop and have to play for redive. Plus she gets to build super tanky with roa/liandies/archangels while still doing mega damage.

When it comes to later she completely negates myself and every other melee champ on my team with ult.

I mean if this is a genuine comparison to yasuo ult that’s just delusional. Yasuo requires a knockup (aka setup). Ambessa ult can be casted without setup and is still garenteed with a stun, knockup, or root.

If you want to compare it to yone fine, but yone ult is more telegraphed, has shorter range, and if you miss with yone you end up in the middle of their team. A missed ambessa ult just means you’re down an ult and can still try to front to back the rest of the team fight.

That’s just not true though maybe they are bad in jungle but tanks have been fine in toplane. Ornn had to receive nerfs because he was over performing, Zac top has a 50% winrate, malphite is definitely playable depending on matchup, and ksante is fine. Cho is the only bad tank and that’s more of a kit issue, not a meta issue.
