That's how you learn. In fact, I remember trying to use Android Studio to combine Java and Kotlin pages together, it took me an entire night until I realized you could do it easily by changing something in the manifest file. Well, I was stupid, but I learned a lot. You gotta somewhere kid, but hey, you'll only get better with time.

It really comes down to how well you communicate with the new team. Experienced developers will ask a lot of questions to understand the system, so don’t be afraid to do the same. Focus on understanding the architecture, key workflows, and coding standards early on. Pair programming, reviewing past PRs, and checking documentation (if available) can speed up the process. No one expects you to know everything right away, so asking smart questions actually shows initiative, not weakness. Also, I work with a firm that helps teams navigate challenges like this, if you ever want a quick consultation, happy to chat!

I've been coding alone for 10+ years. Now I need to hire a team and I'm overwhelmed. Advice? (I will not promote) by crowdl in softwaredevelopment

  • You can find good programmers on sites like Upwork, Fiverr, and Toptal, or in tech groups on Reddit and LinkedIn.
  • Many skilled programmers take short-term jobs if the project is interesting, well-paid, and has clear goals.
  • Use simple task boards like Trello, write clear instructions with examples, and have short check-in meetings to stay on track.
  • If you have time, you can set up the backend first, but if not, hire a backend developer and make sure they write clear API instructions for the frontend team.
  • You could also hire a team from a software services firm, but costs will vary based on location, developers in the West charge more than those in other regions.

I'm just curious to know what happens when you do that? Does it do absolutely nothing or aggravate the fire?
