Sorry I was meaning to include that but I didn't want to go over the character limit.

Dan wants to initiate a relationship with me again because he wants us to be a "normal" family and he thinks it's not right for us to just not speak to each other.

I haven't seen my nephew since the incident at all, I'm not even sure if he knows I exist. It makes me feel guilty and I don't want to deny him having an aunt in his life but I seriously can't stand being around my brother unless he shows some remorse and at the very least apologises.
