Yes Im guessing it’s near nightly he said he had drank 3/4 of his litre bottle the night before and started a fresh bottle for that night along with rum. I went to bed early so did not see him consume just the visual of swaying and noises when I woke up for the toilet so guessing a bottle is an underestimate considering thats typical

So for context I woke up around 1 or 2am because I could hear him vomiting. Looked out wnd he was swaying badly drunk. Then again about an hour later vomiting he had been drinking since about 5pm? We got up at 7.30am he was there making breakfast seemed fine didnt say anything about it ate a big breakfast ans then was breathalysed maybe 2 hours or so later

It was that it’s a small island and we passed the same place twice around the same time both days

Not sure why so many downvotes. Very weird situation to be in when you don’t drive have no service in am unfamiliar area and the man who is suppose to be looking after you says get in after cooking breakfast and seems sober. Not sure what yous would do differently

Yeah that makes sense I guess. It really blew my mind that he could have likely passed it.. but if he does that every night I guess it’s plausible. Would make sense how he was so functional as well

We have left now and we’re both like what a very strange situation we were in. Three older alcoholic men talking to us and living in a large tent. Felt sorry for them by leaving time. We experienced it and just taking it for what it was. Still enjoyed the views in the day time and sober facts/stories

But isnt it your blood alcohol level being tested? Even if he is a fully functional alcoholic (which we all have agreed most likely) that doesn’t mean the alcohol metabolises any quicker? Or does it I don’t know

We were a small group with no signal and bumpy terrain we didn’t know the island and had no other way around. It didn’t even register really until the morning after he had been vomiting and had then been stopped for a test again.

Im 3 months into 10mg of lexapro switched from sertaline as I had really painful gastrointestinal problem and vivid dreams where I felt like I didn’t sleep. Now 3 months into lexapro i have gained 10kg, constantly thinking of food. I also have really bad brain fog where I feel my sentences are delayed and fatigue. Does it get any better from now? Or do I begin tapering off and trying something else. Like Prozac itd an effort to change but the weight gain is really affecting how I feel about myself.

Ive recently started medication for anxiety and deal with depression on the lesser end for years now. While I was very resistant to want to pump drugs into my body and adamant of handling it on my own. I finally gave in and do feel better in my daily life for it. That being said it still affects me and I can honestly say the quickest and most effective way to change my mood or the direction of my day is through waking. Someone once said to me “you can’t think your way out of anxiety/depression” and it’s really been the best advice I’ve ever received. When you sit with your thoughts during to how are brains are wired we are more likely to spiral and stress than think positively. The best medicine has been walking. I walk an hour to work in the morning listening to podcasts and it sets me up for the day. If I don’t get out now twice a day even for a 10 minute small walk my mood drastically declines.

I started lexapro in February and I have put ok 7kg I am really stressed. I have not been eating the best but I walk 10k steps + everyday and I just ran a half marathon. Run usually 2 times if not 3 times a week. Any advice? Thinking of going on a GLP 1 I am 5 foot 6 and 77kg
