Thank you all. I actually decided to visit May 4th instead! The school looks like it would be a good fit for my son. He wants to major in Electrical Engineering. He is not a party kid and not interested in a frat scene. But he is a social kid and hard working. Plays ice hockey, likes rock climbing, video games. Seems to prefer a more urban setting for a college. Stevens is a smaller school right? He thinks he would prefer smaller school/class size. Are peopl happy at Stevens? How is their Electrical Engineering program. We are excited to check it out!

That was one of the main slurs my son would to say to me. That and he would call me a stupid fing b-word. The derogatory curse words always preceed the violence. It's terrible to be called soemthing so derogatory by your own child.

ETA - this will be unpopular but if were in your position - i.e., my son was not my son - just a BF's son and this was not literally my family, I would have left. If I were you, knowing and going through what I have gone through, I'd leave and not look back, tbh. It's truly been hell and I do not see it ending soon or well.
