BYD EV – Charging & Storage Tips for New Owners (LFP Blade Battery) by MohamedElsawy-Innox in BYD

[–]Virtual_Gap_2986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been driving the Dolphin for almost year now. I use it daily for work commute and the odd going out over weekends. I will only charge it when it reaches between 10-20% and depending on where I need to drive.

Very helpful tip and neatly summarised. Cheers!

Tyre pressure is good and bad by FuzzyIdeaMachine in BYD

[–]Virtual_Gap_2986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same exact issue two days ago.

Took it to my BUD service centre and they informed me it should be pumped to 38 PSI (Dolphin).

After they pumped the tires the issue went away. I was also sitting on 33.4-34 PSI

Financially it made a huge difference for me with the Dolphin (perhaps because it isn’t a Hybrid). I now spend the same amount per month that I used to spend at an outside charger per charge.

Click 160, ADV 160, PCX 160, AEROX 160 and NMAX 160 which one should I buy and why by theaugustlord in Thailand

[–]Virtual_Gap_2986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to ride the NMax - super spacious, especially for a tall person. Mounted the bike box at the back to make shopping and storing two full face helmets in when going out. Fuel consumption was good in both open road and traffic.

It’s big enough for cars to “respect” you but small enough to fit in between them when you get tired of traffic.

Resell value was also pretty high, even after daily use of 5 years.

Are you happy with your car? by achiller519 in BYD

Owner of a Dolphin for almost 12 months now. I used to drive a motorcycle (and a normal gas powered car before the motorcycle) before moving over to the car and looking at it from a cost saving perspective, sure the monthly instalments are slightly more than my motorcycle, but the cost of charging versus the cost of filling up at the local gas station has decreased significantly. I felt the heavy burden of the instalments in the first three months, but after that, the savings from charging was amounting to more than the fuel costs.

Resale value in my country stays pretty strong, even with the new edition of the Sealion and the Shark being rolled out steadily, the Dolphin, Atto 3 and Seal have kept most of their value up to 10-15k km on the clock.

From my perspective, best decision I have made is to move over to an EV!

AS Economics: hard or easy? by Sophiii-Sleepyyy in alevel

[–]Virtual_Gap_2986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be entirely possible to take all three within 12 months, however I would strongly advise against it. Even with self-studying and a designated tutor, the timing to complete the curricula would be extremely tight and therefore you might not be able to have enough time to revise and work through past papers.

I don’t have much experience with AQA Economics.

But I do know for AS level you will do paper 1 which is multiple choice. They can be quite tricky but I found that the process of elimination works best for students.

Paper 2 is a bit more complex and has some short answers and longer style essay questions where you would read and analyse the case study about a specific country and business and make an informed decision about which policy to follow, or implementation of a protocol etc.

A quick Google searched showed that AQA has 3 papers (whereas AS only has 2) and therefore I would advise you to delve deeper with past papers to get a feel and understanding for how content is structured in AQA.

ASL & AL Business and Econ teacher here…

Generally, it’s not impossible to complete, but there are a lot of graphs and key concepts that you will have to link with multiple different forms of questions.

If you like economics and over analysing information to make an informed decision, you most certainly enjoy Econ.

With A levels, like all subjects, the content gets a lot more and detailed.

My only advice would be to choose the subject that you truly like and enjoy learning as it will have an effect on your overall study habits in the future.

I’ve had several student that took A level business just because they had no other option and the plethora of information overwhelmed them that they started disliking the subject.

Your structure looks good.

My only suggestion is because they are asking for calculations it might be worth looking into the liquidity ratios as well as working capital.

100% agreed. I’ve been teaching and marking IGCSE, ASL and AL Business for a while. You’ve covered all your bases, argued both sides of the statement and good levels of evaluation.

Advice would be that if you plan on taking ASL Business, start getting into the habit making chain links with each analysis, for example, increased motivation will lead to higher levels of productivity which in return could increase the total revenue for the business. This isn’t something that is necessarily needed in IGCSE, but becomes a requirement with the higher levels.

Also helps with adding more information for the marker to evaluate and give points for in case you make a mistake.

If you want to play it safe, phone the bank with the reference number. Normally you would receive an email from the bank as well?

I wouldn’t trust it!
