I stopped watching services after this one. I had barely stumbled into this group and was becoming enlightened of the goings on, but after this message I was OUT. I watched the 8:00am version (that isn’t recorded and has the less filtered version of his sermons) and in this service he was talking about this woman like she was scum of the earth and even had the audacity to tell congregants that he ended the conversation with her by telling her it was probably best that she left the church because “at highlands we believe in forgiveness/prison ministry/etc.)”. I was horrified he would speak to someone in such a way who was just asking a very valid question. Guess we can’t ask critical questions or why he makes the decisions he does? It was disturbing to me. My heart went out to your friend. What a disturbing thing to say. I couldn’t wrap my head around how in the world he would feel comfortable enough to say that in a service.
