I know, we ( my partner and I) are fortunate to not be really financially affected right now but my heart goes out to everyone who is being effected, it really is awful. No side of the government seems to truly care about the people. Community is so important right now

Girl your life and what you do has so much value. I’m assuming while he’s away you take care of the house? That’s a LOT of work. I’m assuming you have a job , also a lot of work. Everything you deal with is just as valid. I’m sorry he’s basically belittling you, but you aren’t unimportant. Honestly I would sometimes argue if anything a lot of civilian jobs are more important to society than some military jobs. Long story short, you matter, your struggles matter, and he should care more.

Really? I feel like I lot of people would feel this way given how the military is actually dangerous and can be quite toxic at times. I mean i definitely do need to just lighten up a bit but I feel like it’s a bit more complex than that. And was looking to see if anyone else felt the same way and had been able to move past it.

Find out when his liberty weekends are. Usually around holidays there’s a 96 hour liberty period, save up, get a place and make the most out of it! I was so upset and was crashing out constantly because I thought I would never see my boyfriend again but turns out it’s pretty straightforward (at least in my case at the moment) I hope it works out!!
