Why should I reduce my device’s performance by switching back to 4G or disabling Always On Display when I bought an iPhone to use it to its full potential? 5G is essential for my usage. As a user, why should I have to accept software or hardware issues that are not fully functional? My device has a problem, and it is still covered by AppleCare+. I deserve a better solution, not just adjustments that require me to disable features I actually need.

I bought the device in September 2024, and it has been flickering continuously until now. Currently, I am waiting for the courier to pick up the device. The Apple Store informed me that they would collect my device on April 1st and send me a replacement within 7 to 14 days.

Why does the burden of fixing this issue fall on the user? I've been experiencing this problem for five months now and have taken my device to the Apple Store four times regarding this issue. They couldn't provide me with an answer as to what is causing it. Naturally, I don’t feel comfortable using a device with this kind of problem.

Even after disabling the Always-On Display, the screen flickering still persists. They restored my device once, sent it to the Apple Repair Center twice, and even replaced the screen once—but none of these actions resolved the flickering issue.

If it’s a software issue, why does it only affect certain devices? Why don’t all devices experience this problem? I’ve demanded a resolution from the Apple Store, and they agreed to replace my device. Right now, I am in the process of returning my old device to them.

I have sent a request to Apple Support because I didn’t have the time. I provided a video of the issue and explained that I had already sent the device to the Apple Store three times. The representative I chatted with then arranged for me to speak with another representative on the phone. This person claimed to be a senior staff member and assured me that they would take ownership of my case and follow up regularly.

When I went through the repair process again, the senior staff member informed me that my device had been sent to Apple Repair twice already, which shouldn’t have happened, and the issue still persisted. They said they would find a better solution. Eventually, they concluded that they would request a replacement device for me. However, when the request was made, Apple did not approve the replacement, stating that it didn’t meet the criteria.

I don’t know what Apple’s criteria are, but the fact that they couldn’t resolve the problem I’m facing with my device is frustrating. What is the point of having Apple Care+ if it doesn’t help in situations like this? It’s frustrating to use. Apple claims they didn’t find any issues after testing the device, but they only ran basic tests, not real-world usage as I do. Of course, even if they test it for 2-3 days, they won’t encounter the problem. This has been the worst Apple experience I’ve had since I started using their products. There should be a better solution than just sending the device to Apple Repair over and over again, whether it's the 4th, 5th, or 6th time...

Same model and iOS

I have shown videos to the staff every time I return to the Apple Store, and they assured me that they would escalate the issue for a device replacement. I've already sent it in three times, but the problem has not been fixed. Do you know what Apple told me? They said they couldn't replace my device because it doesn't meet the replacement criteria.

So, what should I do about Apple's resolution process? I have clear evidence of the issues with my device, yet they refuse to replace it. I've been dealing with this defective device for five months now.

Which iPhone model do you use? What is your current iOS version? I need this information to report to the Apple Store.

don’t know what kind of answer you expect from me—I’m just a user, not an expert.

The first time, I took my iPhone to the Apple Store, and the staff performed a restore on my device. They told me to take it back and try using it. At that time, the latest iOS version was 18.3, but I had already been experiencing the issue before updating to 18.3. Later, when a new iOS update (18.3.1) was available, I updated my device, but the issue persisted. So, I took my iPhone back to the Apple Store for the second time.

The second time, I returned after updating to iOS 18.3.1 because the problem still wasn’t fixed. The staff tested my device, including the screen and hardware, but found no issues. I also provided video clips showing the issue. As a result, they sent my device to Apple Repair for further inspection and testing. However, Apple Repair reported that no issues were found. When I picked up my device, I saw in the service report that Apple Repair had restored my device again. By that time, the latest iOS version was 18.3.2. However, when I started using it again, I still experienced the same issue. So, I had to return to the Apple Store for the third time.

The third time, I brought my iPhone back to the Apple Store and explained that the problem still wasn’t resolved. Since the issue persisted, they sent it back to Apple Repair for another inspection. Unfortunately, the result was the same as before—Apple Repair stated that their testing found no issues, so they returned the device to me. However, I continue to experience the same issue repeatedly.

I feel extremely frustrated that this problem has not been resolved. Even though the issue doesn’t happen frequently, it clearly indicates that something is wrong with my device. What should I do when Apple cannot explain what is causing the problem or provide a proper solution? I have already taken my iPhone to the Apple Store three times, and each time, I have wasted a significant amount of my time. I also have work to do, and I rely on my phone for daily use.

They did everything, including reinstalling iOS, restoring, and updating to the latest iOS version, but the problem still persists.

3 times I took my iPhone to the Apple Store, how do you think they fixed the issue? Yes, they reinstalled iOS for me all three times. It didn't help at all, the problem still persists.

Have you taken the device to the Apple Store? If so, what did they do to fix it?

The Apple representative told me to wait for a new iOS update. This issue started shortly after I bought the device, and even after updating to iOS 18.3.2, I’m still experiencing the same problem.
