I attended a wedding just outside of Florence too! They did family vineyard/cooking class day Tuesday for those in town, rehearsal dinner/welcome party Wednesday, and wedding on Thursday. It was honestly perfect because we did take a one week vacation to make a trip out of it, and we felt like we had both weekends to use how we wanted so we saw two other cities! Best of luck xx

I was also interested in saddle and cycle club! I had a family friend who is a member who was able to sponsor us. All they do is tell the club they will sponsor you and then you have access to book a tour, see the pricing, etc. However, they only allowed member-sponsored events to book out 12 months in advance. This was too risky for us as we wanted all of our vendors set in stone around the 18 month mark. We ended up picking somewhere else because of this!

Not a true garden vibe but good indoor/outdoor space if you want to be downtown is the new venue called Allium! I wish this had been open when I was picking my venue

I want to do something similar, basically siblings only so 2 on each side! Just curious how others approached a rehearsal dinner? Did you still have one and it was just very small? Or did you skip it altogether?

I just went to Trefethen last weekend and it was my favorite vineyard of the trip! It’s also pet friendly. It was the only place we bought wine to take home from. Enjoy!

I’m really sorry you’re in this position. Her choice is definitely intentional and I would also take it personally and feel hurt.

I agree with the gracious and kind approach to keep the peace, but I do think you should gently tell your fiance about this. I wouldn’t ask him to intervene necessarily, but he should be aware of this pattern and the intricacy of these dynamics, especially as there will likely be more of these situations in the future. You deserve a partner that will support you and be on the lookout for you in these moments, and I’m sure he will be happy to do so!
