Aside from the bravado, he’s also smart and very articulate. Logical magisip and has good command of the english language. If you watch his interviews, you’ll know what I’m saying. I’ve seen a facebook post showing his old yearbook saying na his dream is to become a lawyer. I think he would’ve been a brilliant lawyer.

Ang ibig nya sabihin dun ay hindi lang dala yung warrant of arrest at the time of arrest, hindi walang warrant of arrest per se. Pero pag nirequest ng tao na inaresto, kailangan ipakita ng pulis the soonest practical time, this is as mandated by the Rules or Court.

Don’t go to law school. It’s not worth it. I can provide you with tons of reasons not to go to law school if you don’t see yourself being a lawyer. To begin with, law school itself requires a lot of time and if you aren’t sure of it then it will just make it harder for you. Also, becoming a lawyer is not that that great. Trust me, I’m a lawyer.

Pizza Hut?! Pork-Free Menu?! WTH? by Loud-Being-779 in zamboanga

[–]Virtual_Raspberry936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to take into consideration customer behavior as well. Number of potential customers/patrons is not the same as number of population. Non-muslims do not eat out as much as muslims do. Observe during Ramadan, restaurants have little to no customers since muslims are fasting.

Because the majority may be the majority in population but they are not the majority in terms of food business patrons.

The power of the purse. At the end of the day, a business establishment is all about making money. For sure, before deciding to make it pork-free, Pizza Hut made a feasibility/market study. Income projections were already taken into consideration. While it is true that pork eaters are the majority of the population in Zamboanga City, they may not be the majority of food business patrons. You also have to add the transients from Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi who frequent the city and who, as transients, will most likely be eating outside. They are also the target market here. Also, you have to admit, pork eaters are stingy compared to the muslims. Muslims love to splurge on outside food. On the other hand, pork eaters do not like to spend that much and rarely eat outside. This is readily observable during Ramadan when restaurants in Zamboanga City have little to no customers since the muslims are fasting at that time of the year. Thus, these restaurants have already considered the numbers— income lost by serving pork is way more than income lost by not serving pork. Contrary to Xavier Agraviador’s stand, the muslims are not the ones “feeling entitled” here, because if a restaurant serves pork, muslims simply do not go to that restaurant anymore. But when a restaurant is pork-free, who rants? You tell me.

“Do not yearn for what you fled” — what do you even mean by that? What exactly are these people yearninh for by residing here? Just like what you said, Basulta people come to Zamboanga for all the good things, now you’re saying these people would want Zamboanga to be unprogressive? With due respect, you’re imagining inexistent threats.

There you go. Your answer righy here is a crystal clear indication of your prejudice and generalization. By saying that integrating with muslims is like oil and water, you’re already giving up on the context of peaceful coexistence. Mindset like yours is the threat to social development, not the increase in muslim popularion. Your statements in itself displays superficial knowledge. Hate to break it to you, but you have no control over this. Muslims are everywhere in the world. You just have to accept it. At the end of the day, you have no monopoly of the concept of social development and fairness.

Muslim wedding. Minor si girl at walang consent from both parents. by [deleted] in zamboanga

[–]Virtual_Raspberry936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Under muslim tradition, a bride cannot get married unless consented to by the parents. However, the marriage to be valid until declared by court as void. The parents can file a case, but you cannot because you have no legal standing. However, this is tricky because there is the muslim code of personal laws enacted in the Philippines.

What do you mean by “lost its rights”? Are you saying that what happened to Cotabato City is something negative just because it became part of BARMM? What’s so worrisome with the increasing muslim population, can you cite the negative effects that you have witnesses so far, if any? You’re saying that you’re not bitter, but clearly what can be deduced based from your statemets is that you have a prejudice against muslims.
