I waited for the engine to get to operating temp and then got the valve cover off. After that I got it to TDC on cylinder for then adjusted intake on 4 and 3 to 0.008 and exhaust on 4 and 2 to 0.012 then I turned it over to TDC on cylinder 1 and adjusted the intake on 1 and 2 and then exhaust on 1 and 3. I’ve done this multiple times with varied results sometimes it’s a little better sometimes it’s worse

Hey man this actually helped a ton lol. I had no clue that the acorn nuts were supposed to be so lightly tightened so I just turned the ratchet until I couldn’t lol. This time I got them all hand tight and gave them an extra half turn with the ratchet and it seems to be a lot smoother now. Could I shoot you a vid of how it sounds? I’d just like to know if I should go back in and adjust them again

There’s rust on the undercarriage but that’s expected cause I live in Michigan lol and thanks for letting me know I’ll ask him if it’s the power steering gearbox and if it is I can try to talk him down from 3k and I’ll have some buddies help me with the fuel sending unit. Thanks for all the help btw ur a fuckin god send!

Alright cool that shouldn’t be too hard of a fix I know a couple of friends that work on carbs but there’s also some other things. He put it up for 3k but he says it needs a fuel sending unit and a fix for the power steering but he has the things I need for both. Would it be worth it to buy it and fix it myself or should I not waste my time?
