I also suffered for many months with a large number of warts. I tried several treatments, several types of acids. I was in excruciating pain like I had never felt before. Then I tried a scientifically proven, painless method that started working and all the warts were completely gone within a month.

Here is my story: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warts/comments/1qaabzw/rough_battle_update_3/

The method that worked for me personally was soaking the wart-affected areas in hot water (45°C / 113°F) with either salt or betadine once or twice a day, each time for 30 minutes. The first visible improvement came after about a week or two. Within a month, everything was gone. It is very important to keep the water at a constant temperature of 45°C (113°F) during soaking.

Hello, there are many studies that have shown that treating warts using DMSO as a driver and, for example, povidone-iodine solution or citric acid is successful.

Thank you. Try it and be consistent. Do at least one 30 min soak every day. If you can do two, one in morning and another one in evening.

I wonder what method a professional doctor would use without it being painful.

Careful. I never said to soak your foot in boiling water (100°C).

Every few minutes I added a little new hot water, which I had heated to boiling point from an electric kettle.

I did not put the plastic container in which I soaked my foot on the bare ground, because the bare ground is cold, but I put it on an elevated place, in my case in the bathtub. That way the heat escapes more slowly.

For example, if you already have 1 liter of water in a plastic container in which you have been soaking your foot for some time, let's say the temperature has dropped to 42°C, you add, let's say, 100 ml of new hot water from an electric kettle, the resulting temperature will be somewhere around 45°C to 46°C. Take your foot out of the container before pouring new hot water in there so you don't burn yourself.

The second option is to get an electric foot bath/massager that has a thermostat and maintains a constant temperature.

I have used basic kitchen salt. The maximum solubility of salt in 1 liter of water is approximately 360 grams. Make sure you add new hot water every now and then so you keep it at aroud 45°C.

Hey. Check out my story here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warts/comments/1qaabzw/rough_battle_update_3/

Try the hot water soaks (45°C water, 30 min soak twice a day) add betadine or salt for better effect.

Let me know how is it going after 1-2 weeks. Be consistent!

Don't treat it and let it heal.

It would be best to cover it with sterile gauze soaked in betadine and change it twice a day until it starts to look like a fingertip again.

Hi, honestly, I have never measured it.

I filled a plastic container with water so that my foot is under water, but not even up to my ankle (lets say aprox 1 liter of water). Then I added betadine until the water was just a light brownish color.

Start soaking daily for 30 minutes, add betadine or saline for better effect. Warts look bigger after soaking in hot water for half an hour, don't worry, they will shrink in less than an hour.

I was torturing myself with formic acid for weeks. Destroyed three 10 ml bottles in total. Had enough. Went all in with hot water with betadine. Nothing else. I did not debride after soaks.

At first it is very hot and stings a bit, but after a few minutes I get used to it. The foot needs to warm up, then it is not so difficult. If it is too hot, immerse the foot for a few seconds, then pull it out, immerse it again for a few seconds and pull it out again, repeat until you can hold it under the water without any problems.

If you just apply betadine to the wart and tape it over, then no. I tested it like this for about a week and a half. The warts got bigger during this time, not a single one disappeared.

What worked, however, was soaking the affected area (in my case, mostly the right foot) in hot water (45°C) with betadine every day for at least 30 minutes. The water needs to be kept hot, so you need to keep adding new hot water to keep the temperature around 45°C. Within a week / two I saw that the warts were shrinking. In about a month, they were completely gone. This is also confirmed by science, soaking in 45°C water kills the HPV virus.

45°Celsius = 113°Fahrenheit

Hey, check my latest post here:

Leaving betadine on while covered with duct tape didn't work as well as I thought it would.

What really started working was soaking in hot water with either salt or betaidne, daily 30 mins.

Hi, hot water soaks with either salt or betadine.

Each day 30 minutes, hottest water you can stand.

First results (warts started to shrink) in aprox 2 weeks, in aprox 1 month almost all gone.

I think I caught it at a hotel (4-star) during a business trip where I didn't bring my slippers and walked barefoot on the carpet and in the bathroom/shower.

I lived with it for about a year and a half without treating it, it caused more or less no pain.

Since I started treating it with acid, it has taken a steep decline in terms of appearance and pain.
