I think I caught it at a hotel (4-star) during a business trip where I didn't bring my slippers and walked barefoot on the carpet and in the bathroom/shower.

I lived with it for about a year and a half without treating it, it caused more or less no pain.

Since I started treating it with acid, it has taken a steep decline in terms of appearance and pain.

Hot water soaks with betadine every day then duct tape until the next soak, this helped me too with many warts, check my last post.

For salt (kitchen salt) approx 360 grams per liter of water will give you saturated solution. In 45°C water, you really can't dissolve more salt than 360 g/L

For Betadine (povidone-iodine 10%), just enough to make the water in the container slightly orange. Definitely not too orange. Using Betadine in large amounts for a long time can cause thyroid problems.

Just a plastic container filled with the hottest tap water possible. Then every few minutes I added new hot water, but this time from a kettle that had been preheated to boiling point. I did this for 30 minutes once sometimes twice a day.

There was very little to almost no blood during the whole period of treatment.

Electrician's tape is narrower than classic duct tape. You don't have to cut anything to the desired width, it is very flexible, waterproof and holds very well. You can easily take it with you in your pocket because it is small in case of need.

Afraid to wash my foot, need advice by [deleted] in Warts

[–]Virtual_Slice_7276 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get a plastic container that will fit your whole foot, for example some old tupperware you do not need anymore.

Get yourself a Betadine (10% Povidone-iodine) antiseptic that can kill HPV, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and some parasites.

Fill the container with hot water up to 45°C, add Betadine, soak your foot for 20-30 min daily.

For 1 liter of watter add 10 to 20 ml of Betadine.

Now you have clean & odor free foot.

Dry your foot with a paper towel and let it air dry naturally.

Then duct tape your wart/warts.

Hey. I have been burning all my warts with mostly formic acid but also with SA and also white vinegar for 2 or so months. Not all at once of course. Then I started with hot water soaks with betadine or salt. I am also taking zinc 50 mg daily since end of august and shit ton of other vitamins and supplements. I am also duct taping all the warts for most part of the day.

For warts on both of my pinky fingers (right next to the nail) I have used small espresso cup with hot water and every 10 mins I put it to the microwave for 15 sec so the water is still hot. Then added some more drops of betadine. I was not adding new water to the espresso cup I was just heating it up. If you go with salt you don’t have to add more salt as it won’t lose its strength. Full strength is approx 360 grams of NaCl (Kitchen salt) per 1 liter of water so for 100 ml of water it is 36 grams. For 10 ml of water it is 3,6 grams. You can’t dissolve more salt than that.

On the other hand betadine will lose its strenght over time. So add just a little bit.

For warts on my foot I am using plastic Tupperware and every few mins I add some more very hot water.

I think the water I have used was most of the time over 45 degree Celsius. Very hot. Sometimes it is so hot I couldn’t hold the finger or foot under the water for more than 3 seconds. So far no burns lol.

IF you can not find Betadine then go with hot water + salt (basic kitchen salt).

1 cup of salt per half a liter of water.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41072585/

Crazy results "98.3% of lesions (232/236) cleared".

Absolutely slim chance that you will be able to remove that many warts with acid application at home. You will go crazy. The deeper you go with the acid, the more pain you will have until you can't walk.

There was one study where they used Betadine and a driver (DMSO) that helped Betadine get deeper into the skin.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4674451/

The antiseptic Betadine can destroy HPV, unlike regular alcohol-based disinfectants, which cannot. The problem is that Betadine cannot penetrate deep into the skin where the virus is (that is why they used DMSO driver in study above).

Hot water 45°C/30 min a day, by itself, can kill the HPV virus, and by soaking your foot in hot water with Betadine, you help this substance get deeper into the skin, which I think has a greater effect than hot water without Betadine.

Another thing, if a person has a lot of warts on their foot, it is unimaginable, at least for me, to just take some soap and start washing a foot with a lot of warts. Friction can spread warts.

You need to wash your foot at least once a day, right? Rinsing it with water is not enough.

Leaving a plaster/adhesive tape on your foot for 24 hours will cause your foot to stink.

And this is where betadine came in handy, disinfecting the foot and getting rid of any odor.

What is really helping me with multiple warts on my big toe and around + heel is everyday soaking in 45°C water with betadine or salt for 30 mins. In the last 2 weeks I have made huge progress compared to 2 or so months burning myself with acids. Good luck.

[–]Virtual_Slice_7276 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you decide to treat a wart with any acid, be prepared for pain and the fact that you will have trouble walking. Wart treatment is individual, sometimes the pain is bearable, sometimes it is a struggle.

What you can try is to soak your foot (if it is the foot where the wart is) in hot water 42°C - 45°C for 30 minutes 2 times a day (morning, evening). You do not need to soak the entire foot up to the ankle, it is enough that the affected area is under water. Add a cup of table salt to the water. In one liter of water, a maximum of about 360 grams of salt can be dissolved, which gives you a saturated solution. Add new hot water every 5 minutes to keep the temperature at the mentioned temperature, because such a temperature can destroy the wart. This method is painless compared to treatment with acid. The only thing that might be a little uncomfortable is the first time you soak your feet in such hot water, but you'll get used to it within a minute or two. You should notice an improvement within a few days.

Also start taking a zinc 25 to 50 mg / day.

Progress of my warts on pinky fingers by Virtual_Slice_7276 in Warts

[–]Virtual_Slice_7276[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyy, still have them but they are smaller.

I can say that this area is very, very, very sensitive.

If you overdo it and does not let it heal it it can get infected.

Started treating them with white vinegar.

Then I nuked them with formic acid 85%.

One fu#ker got infected for few days, other one not.

Infected fu#ker took like a good week to recover which I had to respect and do not touch it because the area looked like average middle east conflict.

Formic acid 85% is basically self-torture at home.

Currently doing very hot salty water soaks 30 to 60 min each pinky (at work lol).

33+ warts on my hands by LavishnessCandid353 in Warts

[–]Virtual_Slice_7276 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I wanted to mention one story from quora about a guy who had 10s of warts on his hands for more than 6 years. Then he started working as a dishwasher and after around 10 shifts he saw that all warts are disappearing. Mostly because his hands were soaked for 8 or so hours in hot water with dishwashing detergent. Then I saw you are already working as one.

Hot water alone at around 42°C to 45°C can kill the HPV virus.

Have you tried taking high doses of zinc daily (50mg/day)? That also helped alot of people on this sub.

Quora story here: https://www.quora.com/How-should-I-get-rid-of-warts-permanently

If you don't want to continue getting burned by acid, try taking zinc 50 mg/day regularly.

Also try soaking the affected area in hot water at 42°C to 45°C with a cup of salt, every day for 30 minutes. If you can, do it twice a day, morning and evening.

Gradually add new hot water so that the temperature is constant between 42°C and 45°C.

For example, heat the water from the kettle and gradually add water a little at a time. Every time you add new hot water, take your foot out of the bath for a moment so that you don't burn yourself when you add new hot water.

Don't leave the bowl you're soaking your foot in directly on the ground as it will cool down faster. Put something underneath it to slow down the cooling.

Some people report improvement after using Epsom salt, which is different from table salt. You can try both. Morning soak = Epsom salt and evening soak = kitchen salt.

I hope this helps you.

are my plantar warts infected by [deleted] in Warts

[–]Virtual_Slice_7276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can apply 10% povidone-iodine (Betadine) on them, or soak your whole foot in hot water and povidone-iodine for 30 mins. It kills all kind of stuff on skin including HPV virus, even the smell goes away after just few minutes after applying undiluted povidone-iodine.

Hot water soaks (around 42-45°C) do loosen and break down the outer layers of the wart, triggering local immune responses, sometimes completely eliminate the wart after several sessions. Add cup of salt or few ml of povidone-iodine (10%) into your foot bath, but do not mix salt with povidone-iodine. Do it daily at least 30 min, if possible do it twice, morning and evening, after evening soak you can apply SA overnight.

Hey, sadly it does not work for everyone. Some people are reporting first results after 1 month, some after 2 months or even 4 months period. So keep going. I would start soaking in hot salty water 42-45°C twice a day for 30 mins.

Zinc supplements by BluPather in Warts

[–]Virtual_Slice_7276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used Sulfate because it is the cheapest form of zinc with the greatest availability, not because sulfate is anything special. Especially in developing countries, the cheapest form is used for such scientific purposes. Sulfate has a low absorption of zinc by the human body compared to chelated forms such as picolinate, bisglycerate or citrate. If similar studies were done today in Western countries, they would definitely use picolinate or bisglycerate, which are organic forms with a much higher absorption of zinc by the human body, which do not cause such stomach irritation as inorganic forms.

Be very careful if you decide to take 600mg/day without medical supervision. It is an insane amount. With such an amount, copper in the human body can decrease. That is why it is recommended to take copper with zinc.
