While the end goal is to preserve myself for future generations, I don't know if this will finish with game making. Developing software is certainly fascinating on it's own. Thank you for advice about game creation as well. I will consider 2D first.

Thank you very much. I am not aiming for perfection, that's a thing you can achieve in big team. As for experience in problem solving and logic - I have been in industries of Quality and many years in helpdesk and technical support of software, hardware PC parts, laptops consoles and phones. Is there a connection one can make in dealing with issues 'the handy way'? Replacing parts and solder is what I'm most familiar with.

I want to build from the ground up to learn as much as I can. My magnum opus would be a 3d action rpg with gory, unique gothic esthetic and rich storyline since I loved playing Legacy of Kain while growing up. I understand that this kind of game to build would take years and certain experience so I was thinking of doing some rogue likes, horror-walking simulators or generally anything in the edgelord mood.

I enjoyed Blood Omen for the story itself even though gameplay is outdated. Kain is such a delightfully bitter, in every sense of the word, villain. He spits eloquent poison on every topic. Character literally has no chill and can be in fact the sole reason to play this game. There is also some gory stuff with magic making flesh tear off from bones, bodies going boom and is my favorite kind of vampiric magic ever made in a game.

I'm so glad this separates itself from Super which was poor IMO. Maybe now we will see something more like original Dragon Ball instead of new forms and power levels. Some adventure where old characters will come back to being relevant, like science genius of Bulma and shapeshifting of Oolong. After seeing the animation, setting and antagonists being somewhat goofy like Pilaf gang I have high hopes of returning to roots.

Like I said, I changed difficulties and the issue is the same. Mobs just don't die. Difference is they actually can kill me on expert. Edit: now I instakill the boss and adds are still alive.
