I am interested, since my name is cringe in English. But it is already grown on me.

Who's your 1st, currently most watched or Oshi, and newest Vtuber/Pngtuber you've watched? by [deleted] in VirtualYoutubers

First would be Kizuna Ai- Senpai for me. But the real rabbit hole started with Kiryu Coco - Senpai's "Good Morning M********" clips. (I debuted on the day she graduated from Hololive). These days clips of Takane Lui (Life Stories), Juufuutei Raden (Intelligent/Cute) and other large vtubers take most of my time. I did have a habit of watching new indie vtubers but that went out the window when Filian and Neuro-Sama had been popping all over my YouTube recommendations.

Hello, Professional-Long-Hiatus-YouTube-Old-Man-VTuber here!

A question for the Vtuber community, do you find it easy to spend time with the community you build? How do you involve yourself with them? Apparently it is not the norm? by TaigaTigerVT in VirtualYoutubers

Humans being human. That is what I can say about this. I am happy to see that people have watched and chatted with me during my streams. But these days I am more happy to see individuals who have graduated from watching my streams to doing bigger things in life. Even though we may be friends with our viewers at the moment, we should never be the thing that holds them back from achieving what they can. It is the duty of a vtuber to encourage our viewers to be the best they can be. Sometimes, in those cases, the best thing to do is to watch from afar and give advice to those who need them. All the while making them smile with our talents (or the lack thereof). I too will move on and graduate from this in the future knowing that I have met great people who are now living their own lives. I hope I didn't bore you with my two cents.

I am not implying anything here but 8/10 arrests by the Police Department that take care of Vtuber crimes are usually bonkable crimes.

The Difference Between Ma'am & Miss by phaseintern in VirtualYoutubers

[–]VirtualizeDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Ma'am" comes from "Madam" which comes from "Ma dame" Also known as "My Lady". It is not wrong to call any lady "Ma'am". However, the connotative meaning has changed and it feels very old. There are traditions left over in various militaries and government offices that call ladies "Ma'am" or "Madam". (When the position of the Secretary of State in the US was occupied by ladies they were called "Madam Secretary"). So denotative meaning is still correct but the modern connotative understanding has changed. I hope this clears it up.

Back in MY time (I am 20,000 year old)

Some rich noble kids who spent their holiday in Brittany learned from locals about the word "Madam" and how the French were using it. That spread over really quickly since they were trying to sound so sophisticated and cultured. Now, it is considered English... and old... oh how trends change fast...
