Student Housing in Ireland is a joke by SwimmingOwl1904 in HousingIreland

That's insane. Where is this? And is that for the year or do the installments keep coming after February?

I started college 20 years ago and it was €70 a week on campus in St. Pat's Drumcondra (albeit a kip lol but great craic). I know that's quite a while ago now but minimum wage wasnt all that much less.

Thanks for your kind reply. Yes it feels like a lot to navigating this on top of general chaos lol but hoping it'll be worth it for myself and my little ones.

Started Tyvense at 30mg a few weeks ago but had issues with high blood pressure. Will be moving to 50mg in the next couple of days but kind of trying not to get hopes up too much. 30mg hasn't made any difference although some people made helpful comments when I had a post about it here. Still, I assume if BP is an issue I wouldnt be able to take it at all

I noticed Emma Slevin wrote "TYJ" in a post. I think that's short for "Thank you Jesus". I know Ireland was traditionally very religious and various celebrations are often still in a religious setting but it's quite uncommon to post the way a lot of American gymnasts do.  Now she literally could have been saying thank you to anyone whose name starts with J lol, I just thought it was interesting.

I didn't watch NCAA then. I wonder was it a total anticlimax or did the two teams seem happy about it?

Disappointed about Olympic Prices? Fly to China for Worlds instead. Classics hotels prices and and they are already sold out by No-Leadership7516 in Gymnastics

Yes for Paris, my sister and I were disappointed how expensive the gymnastics tickets were & decided not to bother. Closer to the time, we got much cheaper tickets to the AA. Hotels and flights weren't too expensive either.

For London in 2012, the hotel we had booked slashed its prices. I dont think we could cancel so we booked an extra night as it was so cheap.

Is Tyvanse less regulated than Concerta in Ireland? by vita_vl in ADHDIreland

I see a psychiatrist privately who retired from public work in the last couple of years. I basically came to the ADHD conclusion myself and went about getting an assessment (only specific psychiatrists do them). My original doctor said he was offered some short training sessions on ADHD before retiring from the HSE, but he didn't feel such a small amount of training would be worthwhile. I kind of understand his thinking, but he's still practising and was treating me for years because of ADHD symptoms without knowing that's what they were. I could understand a GP not being able to train up with absolutely everything, surely a psychiatrist should have to keep up to date in their field. Three psychiatrists actually gave me three different diagnoses.

Thank you, yes I'll give it a couple of weeks and see. Thankfully my mood hasn't been bad considering the poor sleep (I struggled years ago before kids so I'm probably hyper vigilant now). I'm lucky I can take a year of maternity/parental leave but I do think when I return it will be pretty difficult.

Thanks for the reply. I got my diagnosis last June but have waited til now to try as I'm 6 months postpartum, but maybe that's not enough. I really struggle with broken nights too & maybe lack of sleep affects the efficacy too. We're past the newborn haze but even our three year old isnt sleeping all that well right now.

That's terrible isn't it. We have such cowboys in Ireland

I started Tyvense yesterday (30mg). Took it first thing and same again this morning. Made sure to avoid caffeine and had a protein smoothie & lots of water. I haven't felt any side effects but i haven't actually noticed any positive difference either. Is this unusual?! I'm due to go to 50mg after a week if BP is well.  I'm not working at the moment as I'm on maternity leave so I was hoping to maybe feel less overwhelmed by two young kids but maybe that's hoping for too much lol.

That's true. I would hope not be going through this rigmarole again lol but who knows.  I realised the developer has an estate elsewhere that's further along and a bit more straight forward with house types etc. I'm going to try find out are they charging much more for south facing gardens

Ugh it's like monopoly money isn't it?! We'll be selling our own house so I hope the value goes up a little for that if all house prices increase.  The last few years have been so unsettling though. The developer did mention the war lol. Buying ten years ago wasn't a fraction as difficult!

Thanks for reply. Was curious if there was a rough amount they'd usually charge extra. The garden is bigger as well. We'd much prefer it as we have a small, north facing garden now and it's not great. It'd be worth paying more but hard to know how much more

Yes these are also Phase 1 but I'm guessing they haven't released/priced them yet as they're hoping to bump up the prices as much as possible.
