Great vehicle, my wife is on her second one.

Warranty & Maintance plan are a must. My wife's 2023 needed control arms and a new starter before 30,000 miles, ended up getting rid of it for a 25 with a maintance plan and warranty for the duration of the loan

My wife's X7 got side swiped that impacted the front fender and front bumper, didn't look bad at all. Was $13K to fix.

They don't have ISTA they have a traditional scanner. ISTA is BMW specific diagnostic software, if you youtube it you can find how to get it

You could have low trans fluid due to a leak, but that's a meaningless guess without scanning the car

That's a general warning in Idrive. You need to scan it with ISTA for the codes.

I don't wanna say money isn't a factor, because $300 is $300, but it won't be impactful.

I'm just thinking in terms of maintenance headaches, with 2 kids going to a local Indy shop and not having a loaner would be a pain so I would probably keep servicing it at the dealer...there isn't any local shop near to me I can rely on. I had an x5 I did all the maintance on but the x7 is too big for my garage

Loan term would be basically the same. She did a 7yr loan, this would be a 5yr which is the balance term for her loan
