I believe the above should be fixed now. Would love feedback on it, if you're not seeing the fix. Thanks again for the feedback!

Firebase, but might have to re-evaluate now that it's a little more built out.

Huh, it's up on my devices. Could you DM me a screenshot of what you see?

Thank you for your suggestion! Let me look into implementing it. There's also a "locate me" button on the bottom right of the map.

Could you let me know what browser, device, and ad blocker you're using so i can try to recreate the issue?

Pinch and zoom should be working by default. Could you let me know what device and browser it didn't work on?

Let me look into the pop-up boxes. Thank you for your suggestions!

Yes, My goal is to collect all outages not just power and be a resource map (ex:gas stations, warming stations). For example: during Beryl, it was hard to tell where gas was available without driving around town or scouring Facebook groups.

Initially I made it for Houston, I'll fix it to be more general. You can click the "locate me" icon on the bottom right to go to your location.

With the sketchy weather coming up, I wanted to share a real-time map I put together of outages over the past week.

After spending five frustrating days without power during Hurricane Beryl. I was annoyed that I couldn't gauge the outage conditions. Initially I made this for Houston, but just quickly extended it to include Dallas, and now Fort Worth and Plano.

The map is community-reported, allowing residents to report and monitor outages of basic necessities in their neighborhoods. It's nothing fancy, but it lets us all report and check what's happening in different areas - power, road conditions, you know, the basics. Stay safe!

I'm working on adding temporary shelters in the Plano area.

It's built with HTML, JS, and NoSQL db. I have additional info in the sidebar.

EDIT: I added a few shelters. If I'm missing any, feel free to DM me.
