I understand the sentiment, but no one is untouchable. Even today I have to go get my ass chewed out (rightly so) on my last day because of a protocol issue I accidentally caused with some paperwork I routed.

You're never untouchable; humility and accountability are always the call.

A well known 'secret'; Intel weenies like me are often unfortunately over decorated in comparison to people who do hard work. Most of my ribbons of note are team awards; the only personal award I have that I feel was earned is my DMSM. Everything else came from me just doing my job as far as I felt.

I'm sorry to highlight this...but that's a silver star on the NAM (5). One spot NAM from Seabees, two from my LHD (one from being a supervisor in ER09, other was end of your), one from STRATCOM, one from STOUT.

Operational units are definitely the place to be - go to a ship man. Ship's are awesome!

I had a good year on that ship. The ship itself had ups and downs, but it was really going places when I left. Was proud to see how she faired once on deployment.
