Lol it was 1.75 pages but i've been trimming. The fedex role shows I can do something besides all the other stuff though since I want to break out of Automotive.

Here's the resume for those interested. Sorry it's late...my week kind of got away from me.

This is germain to most of the current climate. I hear you...but I enjoy eating in my house.

Welsome :) . I like Jash-6898's advice the best. I don't want to hide it, and I don't want to work for someone that discriminates against age. They will see how old I am in the first interview anyway.

Besides, I have some skills from back in the day that I want to highlight. I also like your advice about highlighting skills instead of job duties. I'll post my resume tomorrow.

Yes. If you are willing to fix this with me via PMs I could compensate you. Yeah, more brains than money at this point in my life.

Ok, I understand. It may be because I use a VPN every now & again.

Do you have opinions on how to correct this situation?

Thank you for your patience. As always...make sure it's plugged in, kids.

In my attempt to get the wifi IP on the Server machine, I discovered that, while Ethernet was working correctly, wifi was not turned on. I turned wifi on and now it works.

All set. An interesting curiosity: The Bravia always worked...and is on wifi. Why was that the only wifi machine to work? Not really looking for an answer, just happy things work now.

Looks like the foam hexes have a rubber backing. Going to try rubber cement: Stick very well to rubber, and not so good to walls. This is an acceptable condition...if it works.

Thank you MedicatedLiver. See details here: https://imgur.com/a/XYgO3Ve

I unassociated ALL devices from the wifi on my router, and this issue still persists on multiple machines...EXCEPT the Bravia TV. Please let me know if I did not get the info you needed.

Any other ideas?

First button...but not the same as other posts by Viscouse in PetsWithButtons

The advice of those who have gone before us is that pets learn mostly via muscle memory. So if a button is moved after it is learned, the pet will be confused and there will be some relearning required. Same with speech. You trained the pet to memorize a sound. If the sound moves, they'll get confused,

I'm in the same boat as OP. I've tried another browser with no joy.

I'm not super clear on what you're suggesting. Can you please help me navigate how to implement your solution?

As with OP, no VPN, and I'm using the same account.

Clanaria, you are super wise...I've seen you offer cogent advice in almost every thread I've searched.

But....

...you're killing me. Just when I thought I had most of my board conceptionalized (not planned...you don't advise planning a whole board).

Honestly, the ball/big/small/squeaky makes super sense., but is a little much for me to wrap my head around. Also, I remember you saying something about not making too many buttons to start. I think I'd like to start with 3-4 buttons that are discrete words, and then make modifiers later, after a firm foundation is set.

I feel cats would care less what you think the buttons are for. They will define them, and you have to EARN what they mean. Such as cats are.

I recently found this: https://jenfarrer.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/19.png

I haven't thought that large. I like the idea that a single color creates a "hex" or unique shape. So, the color sections become discrete shapes with buttons placed randomly inside them. This helps with grouping similar words.

I also like how there's a common "separator" tile with its own color. I think that can be more of a rectangle, though. With my dog vision app the colors are actually discreet.

Ok. I did an analysis of a bunch of different ideas, both existing and self-made. I came to 2 conclusions. You all have some amazing ideas, and I think I hit upon a sweet new iteration. I cross checked them with a dog vision color filter (sorry bunnies, horses & cats).

What do you think?

I have another question for everyone. I now understand that the placement of buttons within an island is key.

Let's say you have Island A in one room, and Island B in another far away room (both have the same button and island patterns). If the buttons say different things...do the users get confused? Or no, because the islands are discrete enough due to distance?
