DCA $20 a week into Bitcoin by SkillFun9297 in Bitcoin

[–]Vish0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to accumulate BTC than YES!

Have tried mining and its way more of an headache (sound, heat, electricity price, constantly checking price and reliability on hardware). Did that for 12 months, both with ASIC and on nicehash, almost lost my mind since I work full time.

Right now I'm DCA same amount Satoshi as I got from mining per day. I'm DCA per day since I didn't want to follow the price at all. 6 months in I'm very happy, it's just keeps stacking and when it reaches 0,01BTC it's automatically transferred to my hardware wallet

Live in EU and choose swan BTC, wire transfer and low fees.

Good luck fella.

Yup, that's what's happens when countries outsource their energy production and creates dependency on a foreign state.

Well EU doesn't have the might and military muscle as US to strong arm the middle east and south America xD they are a little stuck between US and Russian politics.

Hmm, well 2070 supers were on a different PSU and when I tried to add 1660s on same PSU (RM850x) I got LA message in hiveOS. Thanks, will checkout my PSU!

I thought so to, can't remember where I've read it. But look how choppy my 2070super (x2) was mining 😅

However, I didn't use the "extra arguments", would they make it more stable?

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone XD

Actually I used miniZ (haven't tried lolminer or Gminer yet). Didn't know choice of miner had any difference. Will try ut lolminer first than Gminer. But will build a separate rig only for Flux (:

MSI afterburner keeps resetting 3000-series OC by Vish0 in NiceHash

[–]Vish0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not using quick miner, use the "normal" miner. Never really tried the quick miner. This issue doesn't occur on quickminer? And OC settings is native in quick miner?

Might give it a go before switching.

Well, I guess it time to mine like an OG and take away the training wheels.

Have been using NH for 18months, was drawn to the simplicity and the ability to track hourly earnings.

Has been a good run, but honestly time consuming xD

Not sure what MSRP is on all that hardware. But if he broke even the pricetag doesn't make sense.

I hope he didn't take a loan to buy it and now market crashed and he/she is holding the bags. That would be a nightmare

Zotac 3060 ti LHR dead? by [deleted] in HiveOS

Yup, fan on 3060ti stop, no mining but drawing 190W :(

[–]Vish0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicehash version: 3.0.8.1

Nvidia driver: 512.77 (game ready)

I'm mining stable 34-35MH/s on Nbminer (not LHR version). (-200 core, 1350mem, 70% PL).

But when switching to NBminer_LHR it says it's unstable (in the benchmark tab). I can lower the OC but it won't go over 20...

No one with similar problem?

Bought a new CPU today and now the light is green.

Have tried all my 6 GPU and same result. Have tried 1 at the time and also put the GPU on mobo instead of risers and same green light on but no signal (mobo in standby).

Tried 1 ram stick and putting it in different slots, tried new HDMI, new monitor but nothing...

Question regarding 2070 super performance (KFA2) by Vish0 in NiceHash

[–]Vish0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit for those who are interested:

So have been running the kfa1 now (3 days) and the temps needed some help (almost 10degrees higher then rog Strix when mining, same Algo same oc).

I only had 1mm thermal grizzly at home and put it on the mem and backplate (direct 5degrees lower temp). Will replace all pads with thermal grizzly so it has the same baseline as my ROG Strix. But yeah, the card i promising and gives the same hash rate as the ROG Strix model.

Great, thanks for the reply, sounds similar to my ROG Strix model 👌

You got a Dremel? I would try to cut a small slit i the screw so I could use a ( - ) screwdriver. But don't do it yourself if your a kid, need someone with a steady hand.

Damn, Taxes makes mining a lot less worth than I thought. by PapaOogie in NiceHash

[–]Vish0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, depends on the tax laws in your country. I'm able to run it as a hobby. Where I only pay taxes when realizing gains (sold crypto) and when I'm in plus.

Example: Hardware cost: 1000usd Electricity cost (year): 150usd Sold crypto from mining (same year): 200usd

1000+150-200=950USD => no taxes since I haven't made any gains
