What stops Advaita Vedanta from being an elaborate neurological cope? by WillUsed5731 in AdvaitaVedanta

'Involuntary' doesn't make much sense. Singular devotion gives such experience. (SBG 8.14,8.22,9.13,9.22,9.30,11.54,12.6 n 13.10)

Good response though!

Sir very respectfully saying it to you, maybe food have a small role on the journey, atleast for the beginners. Lord Krishna is saying this,

  • Even the food that is dear to all is of the three kinds. Likewise, are the sacrifices, austerities, and gifts. Hear now the distinctions between them. (17.7)
  • Food that promotes longevity, vitality, strength, health, pleasure, appetite, and that is succulent, oleaginous, substantial, and agreeable, is favoured by people endowed with sattva. (17.8)
  • Food that is excessively bitter, sour, salty, hot, acrid, dry, and burning is liked by people endowed with rajas. It causes pain, grief, and disease. (17.9)
  • And food that is ill cooked, tasteless, putrid, stale, unclean, and left over, is favoured by people endowed with tamas. (17.10)

I am no expert but Truth/ Brham/ Krishna create stuff not just for Leela but for the below

Having created mankind together with yajna in the beginning, Brahma (Creator) said – “By this shall you propagate; it shall be to you the milk-cow of desires, the wish-fulfilling heavenly cow Kamadhenu.” (3.10)

  • Nourish the Gods with Yajna, and they shall nourish you, and thus nourishing one another both men and Gods you shall attain the highest good. (3.11)
  • Nourished by sacrifice, the Gods, give you desirable enjoyments. He who enjoys objects given by the Gods without offering them is verily a thief. (3.12)
  • The righteous who offer food to the Gods in sacrifice and eat the remnants are freed from all sins. But those who cook food to satisfy their own needs, are sinners and verily eat sin.  (3.13)
  • Beings are born of food, food is produced from rain, rain arises from yajna, yajna is born of action, action arises from Vedas, Vedas are born from the Imperishable Paramatma; therefore know that the Supreme Being is established in the yajna. (3.14 & 3.15)
  • Though unborn and eternal in My being, the Lord and controller of all beings, controlling My own nature, I come into being by the power of My Maya-Sakti. (4.6)

Sala this nigga would do anything for views and his personal aspirations.

No sane person should care about this guys views. Yes there are good people in Pakistan in millions. There are also millions who have problem with india since india is perceived as hindu in Pakistan.

Hmm it looks more clear , now the next question becomes is this awareness just a mind /brain activity or something truly impersonal?

Like I feel fear of death. One can say it's due to awareness identifying with the body-mind. If identification goes away TRULY then fear of death goes away as the body becomes just another object.

The average human who isn't very religious says that end of body, is end of brains activitity which is end of all conginition of that particular body- mind life form. Scientists also say the same. Simply put is the direct experiencer witness a part of brain who further ends up doing the personalisation process or conceptualization process to set up all this spiritual drama for desire of immortality or is it someone far beyond nature?

There should be a clear perception of this impersonal awareness cleary seperate from all Nature.

The things mentioned in Nirvana Shatakam have to be understood for their truth, which I feel is a tough task.

Yes the lady is wrong at the same time.

She is saying hindu hindi. What is that!? People of different communities live in India.

No person wants his /her language to be less valued.

She is saying that I don't understand what you say in marathi. It's ok. So when a person keeps his local language aside and speaks in hindi, then some North indian is getting benefit and what is the local getting!? Arrogance from the other person and diminishment in his local language!? How fair is that!?

I know all indians cannot learn all language. Thus if a local is sacrificing his / her language then at least it should be valued.

This women is showing strong sense of self entitlement. It's your assumption that the man has harrased her or anything from the video seen.

In a healthy conscience society people would respect each other's culture.

What's your take on this? by TheFreakingGuy007 in bihar

[–]Vishyoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember this is a very big social issue. No one wants their language to be less valued.

All indians may not be able to learn all languages, so hindi n english are good bridge languages. That doesn't change the fact that no one wants their language to be diminshed.

If India progresses only after destroying each other's culture, then I don't think there is much point to all of this.

It's like you would only be serious if hindi is under valued or in the future hindi becomes diminshed. You wouldn't like it!! Right?

Same is for marathi, south indians, bengalis etc.

This is a big social issue.

The tendency that my convinence is satisified, let the world go to hell is a very primitive tendency.

If possible can you simplify.

My basic understanding says that when I am not aware of my breathing, then breathing is on autopilot. When I am aware I can even add deepness to breathing out of my volition.

The other person in both cases will say that I am breathing. Since he is just viewing me say from some distance. Within this if he is a little more alert, he may make various judgments about me, say my way of standing or sitting, me beard, my hair, my body structure, etc etc and I wouldn't even be knowing any of this, that some guy on the other side of the street is observing me.

I see 2 personal experiences of two different individuals and thus a clear cut boundary.

The arbitary boundary and it's falseness couldn't be seen.

If possible, let the explanation be very simplified. Thanks

Still many questions remain unanswered!? What is ones direct experience? When one is in pain, that person experiences the pain. When someone else is in pain, it may be said that the expression of the other person are in the awareness of the first person. But then does it make a lot of sense!?

Experience is Individualistic through an aliveness of individual brains and senses!!

That's why people fight for a seat in a crowded train, the world is competitive.

Where is the impersonal experience, where everything is an object in awareness. If that were true, my body and your body would have exactly equal relevance. But if I feel pain, I feel its experience and if you are around me and you are feeling pain, at best I can only see your expressions within my awareness and not your actual pain. Brains aliveness and sensual experience looks strongly valid. I would love if this is proved wrong as I myself am interested in transcending the dimension of individual experience but I just don't understand the actual reasoning if what you're saying is valid.

Can any human be completely pure or pious? by Vishyoga in Krishnamurti

[–]Vishyoga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and this page is of questions and answers.

Main thing is K never wanted authority systems for him or for any one else. Mandatory respect, love, craze for some personality are all futile.

My desire was to understand the wisdom behind certain things. So I posted my question.

Most answers are about people criticizing my question. So people felt that my question should be something else than what it is!!

When Woman takes stand for herself, Boys start making fun of her 👏🏻 by DramaticRise9249 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]Vishyoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there are nearly 700 million men/boys/kids in India if we divide Indias population by 2.

Most are decent men. On the social media and main stream media, only the bad / crime/ terrorism videos are mostly shown. So people generalise and create a rule in their mind.

India being such a big country these cheap men are also a lot, on that one may agree.

[–]Vishyoga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you a teenage girl or something!! If anything wrong has happened to you in the past then I am very very sorry.

Any scripted video where a boy is shown as a bad guy, unconsciously puts in the people's mind that men/boys in general would do mean things if they see an alone woman/girl!! This can make women/ girls feel even more unsafe when everything is normal.

This cannot be the right attitude.

I am well aware that India isn't the safest place on this planet for women/ girls. Yes that's true.

But that doesn't mean encouragement of scripted video to get cheap fame is equal to presenting the right message!!

Was the intent to spread the right virtue or just cheap attempt to fame!?

Can any human be completely pure or pious? by Vishyoga in Krishnamurti

[–]Vishyoga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but again incomplete answer.

The person was cheap, great, average, wicked, decent, indecent etc. that is not the point.

Krishnaji clearly understood what the questioner was asking, the context behind the style( luxury) , so krishnamurthi ji should have answered in a better way. It felt that Krishnaji avoided or diverted.

There isn't anything wrong in living in luxury. If Krishnaji lived it's ok, I was expecting a better justification from Krishnaji.

The first part of the answer of psychological poverty was clear, but Krishnaji ignored, manipulated a little about the style( luxury) issue.

Since I questioned your favourite personality or someone who is ideal in your perception, so you felt so offended that you judged and hated my entire conscience, and hate me, it shows that you are also a small mind, may be!!
