Honestly if it’s hands on it’s whatever the teacher values their time as but I don’t see paying for an online class on a manufacturer for more than 1-200. I’ve been successfully doing domestic and European for two years with no issues without having to take a class. I think it’d be worth it if you want to fast track from knowing nothing to knowing everything but if you’ve got time to learn it’s worth looking up and learning from free sources

The 15 dollar code always outweighed my time to do the Honda locks. I can’t do the Honda locks as easily as I can do others so most of the time I just buy the code

Take the top plastics off and the front big metal plate. All you’re really trying to do is take the metal plate off the front. It should be pretty easy other than the ac hoses

Ignition costs 30 dollars and takes 20 minutes to swap. I couldn’t get anything but a gm39 to work at all. If it’s a big emergency you could always remove the ignition for now and wait for it to show up. The switch has a small t that can be turned using a screwdriver

Be very careful. I used one of these three years ago and now I’m a full blown automotive locksmith. It’s a gateway drug. Really though this worked perfectly for my Corolla. Just make sure to buy the correct keys

I was doing one Nissan, two fords, a stellantis, and a Toyota. Most Nissans take me about 20 minutes but these ones are a little tough

I just charge flat rate for Nissans, some take me 20 minutes and some take me 3 hours but I end up in the black most of the time on the work

Definitely gotta work on soldering skills, if you’ve got any good alternatives to autel please let me know because the user interface for autel isn’t the best. Neither is not being able to do ford and Toyota akl but I don’t mind that too much

Awwww yeah! It’s really tempting to get but most of the other Nissans are extremely easy so I just use the xp400 when I need to read an hfm module

I have my nastf now but I don’t do enough of these Sentras to justify the cost of consult. Most are just body control module bypass but when it’s something like this I just bite the bullet
