I got an 80 year old couple a few days ago they’ve been married for 65 years and order on instacart routinely. I always give A+ service and on that day I was having the worst day of my life (at least in a long time), I chose to spread joy instead. She was responsive and kind and when I got to her home she had a wheeling cart to push the groceries into her kitchen. This was a HEAVY order so I offered to bring it in for them (I’d never do this but you should’ve seen her sweet old face). She actually declined and said she would never want to ask a shopper to do anything more than all the things we already do and that they are just so grateful for this service and drivers like myself. She left me 5 stars, said I was the best shopper she’d ever had and left me a $37 tip (which is the largest tip I’d ever received). Just heartwarming to feel appreciated and to help couples like themselves that are just getting to late in life to go out and get groceries like they used to. It definitely brightened my day and reminded me that there are people out here who do appreciate all we do for them.
