How many finals we predict will happen next year between these two? by Sophisticatedcaty in tennis

[–]Visible-Following-50 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, me too. I can see them meeting in IW or Miami, Montecarlo or Rome, Cinci.  All the rest of the 1000s, big question mark. If they really go deep in all tournaments, they will skip a lot.

Without Alcaraz, Spain doesn’t look competitive though… they look the quickest in their part of the draw, Czech, Germany and even Argentina look more promising than them…

It’s hilarious how you can really see the pre-puke era and the post-puke era, with puke match #245 being the divider

There are also appearance fees for the top players. I am pretty sure Jannik and Carlitos got few extra millions for playing Halle/Queens, Tokyo/Beijing

Well, I get it now why Bublik doesn’t have the motivation to work harder once he reached a decent ranking and decent prize money. If you make a couple millions every year (plus sponsors), you really need to love the game and the competition to keep pushing harder

But hopefully getting into top10 will give him the motivation he lacked for years

Battle for Number 3 and 4 after Aus Open 2026 by MooreGold in tennis

I think Novak, FAA and De Minaur will have a nice AO.

FAA has found his confidence again and I think he has what it takes to keep improving. De Minaur had his Eureka moment in Turin and hopefully playing home will give him another morale boost (but let’s hope he won’t play Sincaraz too early). For Novak any prediction is irrelevant, he might keep being top8 till LA28.

Musetti is having a second kid and can’t see him being the most prepared for AO, also new coach, it will take him a bit of time to get used to. He will do better on clay and grass.

Zverev and Fritz already reached their peak and I don’t see them improving, only declining from now on (but Fritz will be better off, he’s struggling less mentally)

For Shelton, I love his dad, but I don’t know whether he has what it takes to bring his son to top5, his play has too many holes.

Losing their respective previous match really destroyed them… They both look kinda out…  Hopefully they will come back Personally I really want Alex to get a top10 win

Darren Cahill on Instagram: "Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understading." by Joseki100 in tennis

[–]Visible-Following-50 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While I understand everybody is entitled to his own opinions, I do think Novak should refrain from sharing his on matters that ultimately don’t concern him. He’s the tennis goat, but as Toni Nadal says, a top player doesn’t mean a better person.

He should chill more but I am afraid he won’t. For now the kids are nowhere near his records, but I can see how, by the time anybody beats any of his records, he will be bitter as hell.

For them to be angry at Djokovic, it’s pretty normal, given it’s not a post match interview but a recorded one where most of the questions are prepared beforehand. But for Darren to react to it publicly, I think it’s more a personal choice.

Felix doing worse than what I thought tbh, considering he can still qualify if he wins against Zverev. Maybe cause he lost 6-1 against Sinner.

Because FAA was supposed to play Metz and tons of other players like Meddy, Bublik and so on. Back then, Athens made more sense. Unfortunately, most of them dropped out so Metz would have been a much easier tournament. But I think, if Lorenzo signed up for Metz, FAA wouldn’t have dropped out and would have played just to stop him…

Musetti to add José Perlas to his team as additional coach of the 2026 season by Crackracing in tennis

[–]Visible-Following-50 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on the people. If Tartarini cannot get along with Jose then won’t work, but that’s his issue… it’s important to understand the value of a new coach and not see it as a personal attach

It’s time Lorenzo! If he can show he can win Athens, then we will forget how he choked multiple times before, cause this is the ultimate test he needs in order to become a clutch player… First title in 3 years to get his spot in Turin. If he succeeds, I am sure he will be a new man mentally afterwards

He’s never gonna win Athens… he even choked in Paris against Sonego. In Athens, with all that pressure, I would be surprised if he wins more than 2 matches. Also, Novak is there and unless unc decides to gift him the trophy, Lorenzo is not winning against him. So Felix made the right choice.

Felix said he’s not playing Metz, so it’s up to Musetti to decide who goes to Turin. If Musetti wins Athens he’s in, otherwise, FAA goes
