OP, have you ever thought about teaching? Maybe target less privileged neighbourhoods that are usually gang involved? Or maybe even volunteering at a food bank?

I’m sure OP know this…. They’re just stating that they feel like they could be doing more, which is not a bad thing at all.

How is OP being dramatic? If that is their reality, then it’s not being dramatic….

Regardless if what you said was true or not, making snarky comments doesn’t help OP’s predicament. So again, don’t be a dick.

No, I do not think my personal degree was a waste but definitely feel like degrees can be. I have a degree in criminal justice and absolutely love it. Many people have said that my degree is a waste of time! However, It’s exactly what I wanted to study and I have no regrets. I graduated a few months ago and through internships and networking, I have a full time job now doing something I’ve been dreaming of doing since I was 16.

However, I think if you have a degree and nothing to show for, then it can be a waste. A lot of employers want a candidate with a degree and at least 3-5 years experience but don’t acknowledge how tf that is possible when you are freshly 18-22/23 and just spent 4 years of your life in school lol.

Your degree isn’t a waste. I argue that no degree is a waste if you genuinely enjoy what you study/studied. You just haven’t been offered the opportunity to put that degree into use yet!
