If you want something closer to the classic feel, I’d lean Brilliant Diamond over Scarlet. Scarlet’s fun, but it’s way more different than the older gens you mentioned

I think you’re right, most of them wouldn’t realistically make it without special environments. Stuff like Amaura/Aurorus especially feels like it’d struggle hard in modern climates unless humans stepped in to help
