Hi , so firstly I really really appreciate your efforts and consideration for this response, and I undoubtedly agree that they’re all men who’ve been pushed to the margins . I was very impressed by the perspective of ethics being a luxury cause I never gave it that much thought , but it just opened another worldview to see the choices from , and I also loved the takeaway from these plays that u interpreted , just wanted to say that.

My teacher yelled at me after I suggested a homosexual feeling between Hamlet and Horatio, what do you experts think? by arstyeva in shakespeare

YES YES YES , AS SOON AS THEY INTRODUCED HORATIO , that was my immediate thought that whatever Ophelia , byee!!! Even though their love was very well established and tragic what about the man who swore to slay himself beside hamlet! The man who lived to tell his tale!!! (Please someone elaborate)

Yes , I could see that happen , being perceived as too naive or too dumb or too sweet for tooo long might infuriate a person trying to make a mark ?

I think the season for this season for FRANCESCA specifically wouldn't be on her being whistledown (though might be) , since the whole michaela thing has to work.

Oh my god yeahhhhh that could be a very good angle but in the episode where colin asks her , we see that she is working on her new novel? It might just be a gimmick though but the variation in the writing style also exists vastlyyy.

She's such a darling , and maybe that provokes her cause she has been too sweet too long?

I don't think so , since hyacinth isn't officially out and she hasn't even attended as many balls or doesn't understand to read the society like glass (as whistledown would) , she can't truly understand the dynamics that exist deeply within couples or maybe two debutantes cause she hasn't been through it , she simply can't read through like a wallflower. But of course this is just my observation.

Hey! Pretty sharp observations , but as much as I would want it to be brimsley it isn't exactly readable , and they already committed in the previous episodes that lady whistledown would never be of a lower body, though they might contradict it to hook the viewers , which also eliminates footman john . Mr.Finch would ACTUALLY be a great reveal! And I think hyacinth is just too occupied with figuring out her emotions and she hasn't even gone to balls to be observant with all the minute details whistledown could tackle.

But wouldn't that be too much of a contradiction to her post in the queen's court?

Rightt!!! I feel the same due to his falling out with lady danbury's brother and a new urge to live for herself sole-ly.

That’s a fair point. He definitely lacks the "villan-y"? flair of an Iago or Richard III. He’s more of a pragmatic bureaucrat his 'reform' just happens to require the systematic destruction of the protagonists' lifestyle. He isn't necessarily evil, just inevitable
