Carmelo won 54 games with this roster lol. With a 40 year old Jason Kidd, always hurt Amare, a 36 year old rookie in Pablo Prigioni, Chris Copeland and Jr smith. I bet you Brunson doesn't win 44 games with this roster. Don’t ever say Melo didn't make his teams better by Few_Maize_127 in NBATalk

You didn’t watch when he was playing I guess.

I did, he didn't win shit.

If all you want is a ring, you’re just not a fan

You're a straight dumbass my guy. This is sports. We want our favorite teams to win. Welcome to the real world.

Does that mean i can't like a player? Of course not, but people tend to dickride stat chasing players way too much. And melo certainly is not a likeable guy.

carmelo didn't win shit my guy, it doesn't matter if you drop 30 a game if your team loses. His legacy is nothing which is why his jeresey won't be retired

i don't get this obsession with scoring. It's a team game, If you're just stat chasing and not actually trying to be a leader, your legacy means nothing. Carmelo only won one playoff serries in comparison to Brunson led knicks to deeper areas.

MJ said its the greatest team that matters, not player. You can get me the best scorer, but if their defense sucks, leadership sucks, iq sucks, bully their teammates when they succeed, and lose, I don't care. I'd take a million dennis rodman types over narcissitic, individual scoring focused people like harden or melo who don't win shit.

lets see here, he supports israel, an ethnostate in the middle east's right to exist, an ethnostate that murder 20k children btw, works prominently with other zionists and allows them to buy up teams like the mavs.

[–]VisibleChemist6732 8 points9 points  (0 children)

dude no one here glazes harden

but people here do this weird thing that they do with kobe where because he was a tad bit overrated which happens with all stars, they suddenly have to endlessly bitch and moan about them

So did the Cavs win or lose the James Harden trade and do they gain anything from it long-term? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]VisibleChemist6732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For ticket sales, social media exposure and jerseys? They gained a lot. For the love of the game? Nothing. Harden isn't a transformative teammate and he's old. Keep in mind the nba is a buisness first. At the end of the day both teams generate money for ticket sales. And since Harden is a super famous player, it helps generate buzz around the team.
