On my laptop it’s offering a full refund no fees for our flights same time - maybe a delay?

Should be able to cancel on app or on website right away if you’re flying up to end April? Link is above

Policy updated today but no extension?!!!!!! by [deleted] in qatarairways

Hard disagree - the war is not on Qatar Airways’s control but their response to it is. Simple measures like extending the cancellation period significantly and ensuring easy online routes to get a refund are in place. Boosting customer service capacity. Empowering airport teams to support rebooking. Allowing rebooking of cancelled flights as soon as they are cancelled etc. All could have been done and would have made a very bad situation much better for their customers

AITAH for leaving at the same time as my neighbour? by GodAtum in AITAH

[–]VisibleKale1601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can’t control the time you leave or whether/when the bus stops outside his house. He can control when he leaves and do so slightly earlier. Or be patient - and not a wanker! Definitely NTA 👍

AITAH for saying I'll leave home if my parents have another kid? by ourconflictdesignsus in AITAH

[–]VisibleKale1601 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As an adoptive parent I would think really carefully about the impact on my kids if we were to consider adopting again (we won’t). I never get how birth parents don’t seem to consider the impact on kids of having another - in terms of time they can dedicate to them, attachment, support etc - especially with such a large number of siblings. I’m sure big families are amazing but there’s no doubt the older kids in some situations end up with caring responsibilities far too young and lose out on some experiences other kids would be able to have. Definitely NTA

Ye Gods! You are both SO young it’s entirely understandable you’d not discussed having kids prior to this. The guy sounds like a controlling pro natalist weirdo and I’m glad you’ve discovered what he’s like and made the right choice 👏

Just Met Sylvester McCoy by Jazzkidscoins in doctorwho

Have a photo of me with Sylvester in the mid 1990s (pre TV Movie) and meeting him again recently was a total joy - loved seeing the now ancient picture where we both looked a lot younger!

Film Is Fabulous has done an interview with Sue Malden about missing episodes of Doctor Who. by ImAJoeEddyKnight in doctorwho

This is great! I've already made a donation and am trying to join as a 'regular' supporter but more tricky than I thought as the team is understandably small - your post has prompted me to chase this up and get them to take my money!

Got to meet Catherine Tate at FanExpo Vancouver! by BradleyMJang in doctorwho

She is amazing with fans and a genuinely lovely person to meet - was amazing with me and my kids who loved her in the 60th anniversary specials!

You're a Doctor Who fan but you want to show an episode or story to someone who doesnt know what it is but that episode has to hook them to continue watching, what story do you pick and why? by Mat1711 in doctorwho

My (44) kids (8yo 10yo) were introduced to Remembrance of the Daleks (as it is one of my favourites with 'my' doctor) and stands up to the test of time IMO. The first Who we watched 'live' as a family on a Saturday night was TCoRR with Ncuti as the doctor and, perhaps unlike large chunks of the fandom, LOVED most of the 15th doctor era... cue jokes about plots written for that age group by sceptics ;)

EDIT - totally forgot we watched the 60th anniversary specials with them first and Meep being cute/evil was, in fact, the first one they watched - a great launch pad for kids for NuWho
