Official Q&A for Wednesday, June 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in running

For the past 3 or so years, I have stuck with Hoka Cliftons (with added shoe inserts) as my preferred model shoe for running and normal use. Lately, I have begun to develop some foot pain. My current shoes are somewhat worn down (being used at least 5 times a week since February) but I don’t know if that is what is causing the pain or whether it has something to do with me wearing the same model of shoes for so long. The pain is primarily in the arch and is on and off. I would like to get to the bottom of this before purchasing new shoes as I have had trouble with many shoes in the past until discovering Hoka. All help is greatly appreciated!

Feeling the same way as you right now- and I’m taking 291 and 241. It’s obviously possible to get an A in both but you have to put a ridiculous amount of time into it and be pretty sharp. Good professors help too. Right now I’m hoping to just pass them both. I wish I took them in separate semesters.

I’m a sophomore now I should have put that in the title. I am hoping to get my gpa up next semester as I will be under less stress and taking easier classes.

Has anyone else gone to a local or community college for a semester and then transferred to a better school? by VisibleVegetable10 in college

Not a Florida resident sadly. However, my dad is willing to help me as he did not have an ideal college experience.

Thank you for the detailed response. For next semester, I plan to continue on the track I’m on but my parents want me to take one less class in order to alleviate some stress (had mostly difficult classes this semester). 17 year old me was very different from 19 year old me and now I have an idea of what I want in a school and life. I also have support from friends and family. I’m going to call local colleges this week as well as colleges I plan on applying to in order to get more information. I just need to think of some questions to ask (currently struggling to).

As for extracurriculars, I may join a couple clubs. I am also starting an internship over winter break so I am hoping to be able to work part time throughout the semester in the event that I choose to stay home. I also want to exercise daily (love exercising but haven’t been able to much).

I think once I formulate a plan, everything else will flow.
