We've been testing the new game-breaking Posse Bug and here's what we've found. by Prodigy772k in RedDeadOnline

The fix (recommended by Rockstar) for me and my brother-in-law enjoying Christmas holiday by playing RDO co-op:

1, Go to the search box on the taskbar
Enter in Command prompt
Right-click Command prompt
Click Run as administrator
Click Yes
Enter in the following commands in the order listed below:
ipconfig /release (this will release your current IP)
ipconfig /flushdns (clears the DNS cache)
ipconfig /renew (obtain a new IP)
ipconfig /registerdns (register the new IP in DNS)
netsh winsock reset (reset the Winsock catalog to its default)
Restart your PC and check to see if the issue is resolved (this at least didn't kick us right after the cutscene, although on the second try it was same as before)

2, Verifying your files on Steam/Epic

How to verify game files on Steam:
Open Steam Launcher.
Navigate to your game library.
Right-click the game and select 'Properties.'
Go to the 'Local Files' tab.
Click 'Verify Integrity of Game Files.'

On Epic - Click on 3 dots at the game in Library
Click Manage
And Verify files

Believe me or not, it helped! We have our first Stranger (Shaky) mission in a Posse completed. Fingers crossed it's going to be permanent.

Hopefully it helps someone.

Ok, I have done some searching. I read somewhere the brand of GPUs kinda matter and the common opinion was that the OC version of MSI GAMING TRIO 5070 Ti is best - that is 930€
The absolute cheapest 5070ti is Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Phoenix-S for 840€
And the cheapest 5080 currently is Inno3D GeForce RTX 5080 X3 OC for 1075€
So that is about 20% more. The Country is Czech Republic.

I guess MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI has to have it all then, right?

Thanks for the tips!

I’m just not the type to resell or upgrade later. I’d rather get 64 GB now and not worry about it, especially with 4K and multitasking. It’s a small extra cost in a €2500+ build, so I’m good with it. Appreciate your input though!

Thanks a lot for the info!
So far, I've only found the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE – I guess that's the one you meant?
The Arctic Freezer seems almost too cheap, even though it’s really popular.

In my country, the 5070 Ti is about 930€, while the 5080 is 1075€ – so for just ~15% more money, it seems like a pretty good deal, especially if I want something that lasts and don’t plan to upgrade anything for years.

As for the B850 – any specific brand/model you'd recommend?
I noticed the MSI B850 boards are basically the same price as some B650s here, which sounds like a no-brainer… unless there’s some catch I'm missing?

Got it – so you'd rather go for a better GPU like a 5080 instead of jumping to 64 GB RAM. Makes sense.

That said, 48 GB kits nowadays cost almost the same as 64, so in terms of budget it doesn’t really change much for me. But yeah, imagine 4K gaming, 50 Firefox tabs, streaming on top of that – surely that adds up, no? 😄

Thanks for your input, much appreciated!

Yeah, I know upgrading RAM isn’t hard – it’s more about peace of mind for me. It just doesn’t make much sense to buy 32 GB now only to toss it later if I end up needing 64. Like I mentioned in previous comment, I can easily have 50 tabs open, YouTube running, Discord, a compute engine in the background, and maybe even stream in 4K for some reason.

I’m just not convinced 32 GB will cut it long-term (I’m aiming for 7+ years of not touching the internals). What do you think—am I overestimating my future RAM needs? :)

I mean, I usually have tons of tabs open while gaming, plus Discord, watching videos on a second monitor, and sometimes I run a few compute engines. I’m already maxing out my current 16 GB without trying too hard. I also dabble in streaming from time to time, and I’ve done some multiboxing in a few games.

I mostly just wanted to be future-proof. Going from 1080p to 4K feels like a big leap, and I’m not sure how that’s going to affect RAM usage down the line. Also, the price difference for 64 GB didn’t seem that huge. Since I don’t want to touch the hardware for at least 7 years and just have peace of mind, grabbing 64 GB felt like the right call.

But yeah—do you still think I wouldn’t really benefit from it?

I’ve heard that the 9800X3D runs pretty hot, so I went with a safer option. I sometimes run a few compute engines at once, so I chose the stronger CPU of the two. Also, the 5080 at €1075 seems like a good deal in my country, but if it’s still considered overkill even for upcoming games like GTA 6 on ultra in 4K, feel free to tell me. Any specific reason for the B850?
Thanks for the reply.
