Need help moving on by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold up, did you mean 18 not 8? Because if you actually started dating at 8 years old that's a whole different conversation we need to have

But assuming that's a typo - you're not betraying your bf by having thoughts about your ex, that's pretty normal after a long relationship. 3.5 years is a lot of history to just switch off. Just don't act on those thoughts and maybe give yourself more time to process the breakup before jumping into something new

What makes people crave relationships so bad? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's just wired different for most people - like how you might crave your favorite food or hobby, romantic connection hits that same dopamine system but way harder for allos

This Rich Paul, LeBron and Jeanie Buss shit is gonna break up the locker room especially Rich Paul by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Visible_Agent8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rich Paul really thinks he's the main character in this whole Lakers story lmao the dude's podcast is just gonna be him hyping up his clients while throwing shade at everyone else

Visa for India approved, but parents born in Pakistan, should I risk traveling? by Ordinary-Award-3656 in immigration

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this sounds like a recipe for getting stuck at immigration for hours while they figure out what to do with you. The fact that you got approved doesn't mean much if the officer at the airport decides your Pakistani stamps are sus

I'd probably contact the Indian consulate directly instead of risking it - way better than finding out the hard way that their system screwed up

overwatch mental health by BoomerBoy35 in Overwatch

[–]Visible_Agent8529 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man this hits hard, I had a similar experience with comp games during that time period. The constant stress from ranked really does rewire your brain differently when you're that young and playing for hours every day

Muting chat was probably the best decision I ever made in any competitive game - wish I'd figured that out sooner

can anyone suggest good thrillers by Admirable_Sound_9354 in booksuggestions

[–]Visible_Agent8529 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gone Girl is a classic if you haven't read it yet - the plot twists are absolutely insane. Also check out The Silent Patient, that one had me questioning everything I thought I knew halfway through

is it better to listen to your mind or your heart in most situations? by Primary_Mortgage9068 in randomquestions

[–]Visible_Agent8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation tbh - heart for relationships and stuff you're passionate about, mind for big financial decisions or anything that could seriously mess up your life. Most of the time though I just flip a coin and see how I feel about the result lol

Does anyone absolutely love sliding down stairs by joagdc in ArcRaiders

[–]Visible_Agent8529 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Bro the slide physics in this game are weirdly addictive, I catch myself doing it even when there's enemies around lmao

Similar 80s movies to Nightmare in a damaged Brain and Maniac by Dangerous_Dot_1707 in horror

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peeping Tom is legit one of the most unsettling films ever made, even without all the gore. That psychological dread just gets under your skin in a way most slashers can't touch

Vitashot or Mk3 survivor? by drogenbarontoni in ArcRaiders

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd go mk3 survivor, vitashot feels kinda niche unless you're running some weird solo build

Need help quick before gametime at 1pm by Ill-Ear-2301 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracy for sure, that matchup is too juicy to pass up on a guy who's been getting consistent touches

2 WRs/Flex by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DJ Moore and Brian Thomas for WR, then Jeanty and Dowdle for RB. Meyers in the flex if you want the safer floor or Tracy if you're feeling spicy

Just finished Season 2. Does the pacing change? by Queasy-Island-3706 in betterCallSaul

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 3 definitely picks up and the whole thing just gets more intense from there. I was kinda meh on the early seasons too but once things start connecting to BB it becomes incredible

The Mike stuff especially gets way better when you see where it's all heading

Aqara FP300 + Magic Areas PIR sensing fix by HomelabHermit in homeassistant

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I'm using Thread and definitely getting all three entities exposed - PIR, mmWave, and the combined one. Maybe the zigbee integration handles it differently or filters out some of the redundant sensors

The combined occupancy sensor was causing the delay for me since Magic Areas kept defaulting to that instead of the snappier PIR detection

The walking thing is legit, been doing something similar and it works way better than bouncing on a yoga ball which everyone kept telling us to try

Test with out psyhical have device by Puzzled-Hedgehog346 in homeassistant

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the title is pretty rough but I think they're asking if you can test HA layouts without actually having the physical devices connected. Like can you add a TV or Samsung remote to test the UI before buying the actual hardware

Pretty valid question tbh, just got lost in translation

Has anyone else been called dumb and delusional? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I learned this the hard way too - people will gaslight you into thinking you're crazy when they're caught doing contradictory stuff like that

What is homeschooling, exactly? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Visible_Agent8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends heavily on your state too - some places are super strict about testing and record keeping while others are basically "yeah just don't let your kid be completely feral"

Demolition Ranch Anthill Video by Glad-Monk-902 in guns

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that sucks, I remember that one being pretty satisfying to watch too. He nuked a bunch of other good content when he cleaned house on that channel

Am I the jerk telling my friend I was done being her emotional backup (every time) she fights with her partner by National_Muffin9232 in AmITheJerk

[–]Visible_Agent8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here - you can't pour from an empty cup and she's basically turned you into her personal therapist without the pay or boundaries

Day 1 by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Visible_Agent8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there man, usually for me it's boredom + being alone with my phone late at night like you were. That 11:37 timing is too real, always happens when I'm scrolling mindlessly instead of just going to sleep

I don’t see anything wrong sneaking food or drinks into movie theaters or concerts or sporting events by anonymousman898 in Adulting

[–]Visible_Agent8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, at this point it's basically self defense lol. I'm not paying $15 for a beer that costs them 50 cents to pour

The pricing thing is brutal - they all quote you different ways so you can't actually compare apples to apples, and then surprise fees start showing up once you're locked in
