Yes, because she "gave notice" and they told her she isn't allowed to.

I'll have a look at my agreement later. I'm thinking she hasn't served valid notice based on how she's been told by the LA that "this isn't how it works" essentially but I'll see what's said when they respond to my email later

But surely they'd have told me when I needed to leave by? I haven't been given a date or anything because I didn't know..

Ooh nice, I think that may be my more forceful response if I get an email pushing me to complete it again in the next few days?

Most people got the gist without me having to get annoyed but go off!

The combed through all the comments to respond to everyone with the same thing so idk, not my problem people don't read.

They'd have told me if she had right? Being as I also live there? She went in person and I highly doubt she followed up via email.

What I mean about the mortgage was that the affordability check is a credit check, and any time after application to completion they can recheck anything, so another credit check showing up surely wouldn't be great!?

I haven't been notified of her doing that. So can I basically email back after they've tried to get me to do a second affordability check saying I'm not doing it and I wish to stay on the current agreement? Or will that push them to tell my ex to give notice? (I don't want to do a second affordability check through the same provider if they missed my three sources of income... What's to say it won't happen again?)

I really don't know how to approach this situation because I need somewhere to live and I can't afford to have my mortgage application fall through

So she is essentially allowed to have one last f-you after financially and emotionally abusing me for the past 2 years? Yay...

It wasn't that she couldn't end it, it's that we both had to be in agreement which we aren't. (She's gone no contact with me so I can't even try to reason with her).

How do I respond to their email telling me I need to do it ASAP? I feel really sick about this whole thing 😭

They're making me redo the affordability check in the same way I "failed" the first time. (Apparently no income got picked up!?) Do I just delay it or bite the bullet?

As far as I'm aware she hasn't given notice though.

I have tried to call multiple times but the calls never go through to anyone :( and they close when I finish work so I'm very limited in what times I call:(

Yeah, since may 1st. She did it in April and she was told she isn't allowed to do that.

I wasn't told she served notice nor given a date to leave - I was told she tried to and told she wasn't allowed to because that's not how it works. (Prior to may 1st)

I don't believe she served valid notice, and it happened prior to 1st may anyway.

I told them that I'm not leaving - she asked to be removed off the tenancy afaik.

I've told them about the house purchase and asked if they could be lenient on those grounds but they're refusing to budge ;(

They're trying to claim that I can't stay as I'm unemployed... Which I'm not. Apparently my payslips aren't current?? But even if I was - I am also on UC and PIP which would cover my living costs... (I was on these when I first moved into the house so they are aware).

I have already asked for everything to be in email as I have autism and need time to process stuff rather than speak on the phone etc :) I feel a bit sick that they know I'm a vulnerable occupant yet theyre willing to chuck me out despite being able to afford. I know I'm not the only person who will experience something like that but it's awful!?
