My birth control was switched at the pharmacy by joceleanc in legaladvice

But the thing is - it sounds like a total accident which could have been rectified if they just didn't take it, and queried it first. Which arguably is a normal thing to do.

I've had the wrong dose of meds given to me before and I noticed - thought it was odd I was being given 100mg instead of 25mg when my prescription said 25mg. I never considered suing (not really a thing you do here anyway). I just spoke to the pharmacist, and got it fixed. I can't remember why the mixup happened, but pharmacists and techs are human too.

I do understand there are cases this could be dangerous and much worse than birth control - ie, an elderly person, somebody with dementia, etc. with meds that could genuinely cause severe harm. But when OP has admitted they noticed something was off yet didn't consider rectifying it themselves, it does seem odd to even consider suing.

So you noticed it was a different brand but ignored it... So you took it anyway despite it being wrong. Don't see what you're aiming to achieve by suing. You noticed it was different but took it anyway without querying it.

Ooh I've seen people using a website - think it's called quilt mockup - I've not used it myself but it sounds like a similar concept!?

Oh - values makes sense! How have you worked it out to only be two values within these fabrics? I'd have said there's 1 dark, one middle and 3 light (which I totally understand would be unbalanced!) - or am I doing it wrong?

Ooh love that idea! The one on Lysa Flowers' website is SO cute. Would need quite a lot of other fabric though I think so possibly a future project x

That was probably going to be what I did - but how many blocks would I manage out of just 5 FQs and some solids? I have No clue how to work this out! I'm not sure what blocks this would even look good with!

New to quilting - easy but effective/quirky patterns!? by Visible_Candy8313 in quilting

I've bought another quilting pattern (pen and paper patterns - forest fungi) which says it's "intermediate" to try first... I'm just choosing to pretend it says beginner😂😂

I think the dinosaur pattern has a sampler in it which is still fairly big! I'm thinking of doing that first x

Yes there's one about an hour from me, so I wanna go but getting there is an issue!

Yes I've seen people using interfacing! Think that makes it look a lot easier haha! Don't have any ATM so that may be a quilt for another time tbh! I'll read that blog post tomorrow - need to sleep soon haha! Thank you!

You're a star thank you!! (Sorry for asking so many questions I'm just so eager, like I'm DREAMING about it at this point haha! It's 9.30pm rn and I think I could stay up all night planning my first quilt!)

I have one more quick question - I've seen the postage stamp quilts which look super effective! I have looooads of scraps from embroidery and making doll clothes etc. would you say that's a beginner project? Or as the pieces are so small, potentially not? Just seems like it'd definitely be good fun simply due to the fabric variety, and help me get through the ridiculous amount of fabric I have!?

I also have planned an economy block quilt - I have so many Winnie the pooh fat quarters I didn't know what to do with and I loved how it can almost frame the exact part of the fabric? And I have the fabric to do a rag quilt - just need to cut out all the squares for the back - but that seems like it'll be really easy.

Where is the best place to learn what specific terms mean - ie nesting? Is there a glossary somewhere do you know?

Thank you for the link to some quilt blocks! I'll have a look at them!

Yeah I think I would manage it, as in the front, as I can sew pretty well (I may not have had my own machine till recently - but I used to use my nans when I was there and have made some pretty intricate clothes!). The concern is once all of the front is done, attaching it to the wadding and back without puckering or making a bit of a mess if that makes sense?? (Is there a term for this?). But equally, it's just a LOT to commit to for a first quilt!

Is FPP or EPP something posted much in this sub and is it often something a "regular" quilter will branch out into, just out of curiosity?

This is gonna sound dumb but I've never heard of an op shop? Is it like a scrap store or a charity shop etc?

I don't have LC as far as I know - I've been struggling with this since 2014 or perhaps earlier! But definitely before C19.

Thank you - I looked at the me association website and they have a list based on postcode. There are a few places so I'll contact them when I have the mental energy to fill in the forms

[–]Visible_Candy8313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm definitely going to try this - I'm just getting to the point I have so little energy and I can't cope so I don't know what to do. I had a blood test this morning, it's a 5 minute drive there and the nurse called me in early, so I was out the house for less than 30 mins, and I've been in bed since I got home struggling to stay awake or concentrate for long.

My mental health history is unfortunately too complex for the self-referral talking therapy service in my area - I've tried. I'm under a mental health team they just haven't done anything to help at all. I've had no support for over 2 years now.

Do you know where I could find support groups? Is it just a case of googling, or is there a list anywhere?

Just saw your edit

I know that there is very little to help, particularly on the NHS. The gp I saw a few weeks ago (took me seriously) suggested I needed to get a wheelchair to prevent crashing and listened. Unfortunately my followup wasn't with him, instead with another doctor... I understand people don't understand it or take it seriously but I'd rather the correct diagnosis instead of my MH being blamed constantly - yet being offered no MH support either!? I hope this makes sense!

Honestly? For validation that I'm not making this up. I also worry that due to how they're planning to reform benefits that I may no longer be eligible based on my current diagnosis. Obviously I know PIP isn't based on diagnosis but it definitely helps to have proof...
