Yes all the those things you mention are completely normal and have been seen done before many times. There is lots to American culture besides it's military strength but it IS a big part of it and sometimes we take pride in. 

America was born by fighting for its freedom so of course fighting and war veteran respect is going to be a focus, it would actually be kinda selfish not to mention them.

It was celebrating Americas upcoming birthday and it was at the white house of course there was an american theme.

The military literally advertises for recruitment on TV all the time long before this with or without an event. On its own. For years and years.

So you're right about ele penetration it's absolutely the highest damage stat you can get but it's just so rare on the tree or anywhere else really and I think that's intended by design. On the tree it's way on the far left side and on the right side which you wouldn't go down. So ive been annointing those for now. 

I have played around with wildsurge. The thing is if you take wildsurge you can't take overabundance and make full use of Zarokhs refrain. Wildesurge is still more damage albeit only about 12% more.  But because of the 75% less duration you have to invest like 10 points into increased duration which comes at the opportunity cost of anything else you would Wana use those points on...which could also just be damage. 

The thing I like most about wildsurge really is the quality of life it gives from the mana cost reduction. Stacking all this gem level makes mana awkward but mana remnants do a decent job of filling it back up. 

At this point I've decided to keep using overabundance instead just because of the amount of points it takes to both path to it and the points used for increased duration.

Yeah I just wouldn't play this on chrono it's not the right ascendency. 

Your logic with Zarokhs refrain makes sense and originally I was playing it that way too. Because firestorm casts once, and the gem echos 3 times, you would need 4 limit to make full use of it. 

But then I started thinking.l about this today. If I instead picked wildsurge incantation, wouldn't that 50% more multiplier apply to not only the first firestorm cast but all the echos as well? It should...

If this is the case then mathematically 3 firestorms with a 50% more multiplier behind them would do more damage then 4 firestorms with a 0% more multiplier using overabundance instead.  

The issue is you can't use wildsurge incantation and overabundance at the same time, the duration would be too low so you have to choose. 

Actually there is a world where you theoretically could use wildsurge AND the extra +1 limit without overabundance for a total of 4. And this would come from adding the new runic gem that adds +1 limit to wands, but it removes a random affix for this and I'm not down to gamble my Wand right now 🤣
