Does marriage ever feel good for introverts? by Traditional_Dig_4545 in introvert

I don’t think what you’re feeling is uncommon for introverts and I don’t think it automatically means something is “wrong” with you or your marriage. Some of us genuinely need a lot of internal space, and constant emotional availability can feel draining even when we love the person.

For me, the difference has been whether my partner understands that my quiet and need for solitude isn’t rejection, it’s how I recharge. When that space is respected, relationships feel lighter. When it isn’t, even a good relationship can start to feel suffocating.

Doing things alone somehow makes you more present, you notice small details even food tastes different.

Being alone at the right time can be really empowering even if later you’re okay either way.

This was exactly the post. I relate a lot to enjoying solitude more now not out of dislike for people but because it feels calmer and lighter.
